Joelle is my oldest and dearest friend—we’ve known each other our whole lives but truly became inseparable playing soccer together when we were five years old. Kyleigh is my cousin, but she's always been more like a sister—the steady compass to my chaos. The three of us—Kyleigh, Julia, and I—were lovingly (or maybe accurately) dubbed the instigator, the snitch, and the idiot savant by our late Uncle Jason. Titles that Kyleigh and I wore proudly, though we’ll let you guess who was who. What I do know is that Kyleigh and I were always the ones laughing—at movies, at each other, and most often, at Julia. Over the years, that laughter has been the foundation of something deeper. Kyleigh has always been quietly protective, thoughtful, and fiercely loyal. From childhood antics to heartfelt talks, she’s been a constant in my life. One of the greatest honors I’ve had is becoming the godmother to her sweet baby Hendrix—a reminder of the lifelong trust and love we’ve built. Having Kyleigh by my side as a bridesmaid feels like the most natural thing in the world. Isabella is a godsend (which I can say as we are both Catholic school teachers). For the past six years, we’ve been inseparable—she’s my work wife, my conscience, my therapist, and without a doubt the kindest, most selfless person you’ll ever meet. I honestly don’t know how someone so genuinely good has the patience to spend so much time with me, but I’m endlessly thankful she does. We talk every single day—usually before I’ve even had a chance to be alone with my thoughts—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Wild Card

Lucie has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—more than a friend, she’s the little sister I never had and a true part of my second family. She moved in next door when I was six, and our very first interaction was me inviting her—just two years old—to my birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. From that moment on, we were inseparable. Over the years, I’ve helped her get ready for dances and dates, and now, all these years later, we get to get ready for my wedding together. Life has truly come full circle with her by my side.

Kylee might just be the most outgoing, fun, and fiercely loyal friend I’ve ever had. She made college unforgettable and turned it into so much more than I ever imagined. We became neighbors our sophomore year—and thank God we did—because she quite literally woke me up for class every other day when I tried to skip. By junior and senior year, we were roommates, and the memories we made during those years are ones I’ll treasure forever. Kylee has this incredible way of making everyone around her feel special, appreciated, and deeply loved—and I’m beyond lucky to be on the receiving end of that. The Guy Your Mom Warned You About (But You Invited Anyway)

Alex, my oldest sister, has always shared my love for having fun whenever possible—usually with a drink in hand and zero plans for the next morning. She’s the one who’s never afraid to let loose, laugh too loud, or stay up way past a reasonable bedtime if it means making a good memory. She truly gives me a run for my money. She’s as generous as she is nonjudgmental, and even though we may not always see eye to eye, I’ve always known she’s in my corner when it truly matters. Trina has been part of Mikey’s life since he was six years old—more like a second sister than just a sister-in-law. And from the moment I came into the picture, she’s embraced me with that same kind of love. She’s played such a big role in our relationship, always supporting us with warmth, insight, and loyalty. Through the ups and downs of growing up in a long-term relationship, she’s been a constant—someone I could lean on, who made me feel included, and who has always been our biggest cheerleader.

There’s nothing scarier than meeting your boyfriend’s sister for the first time—especially when he has all brothers and just one older sister. But Ashley instantly put me at ease by handing me a glass of wine (I was only 18… shhh) and unknowingly having her skirt tucked into her underwear. It was an unforgettable first impression and honestly the perfect welcome into the family. From that day on, Ashley has been nothing but kind, warm, and incredibly welcoming. She’s always supported Mikey and me, and I’ll never forget when she told me I was the only potential sister-in-law she liked right off the bat (sorry Trina and Jen—she loves you now, and that’s what matters!). Ashley has always been such a huge part of Mikey’s world, and I feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of mine too.

Anna has only been part of the Baddeley family for a short time, it feels like she’s been in our lives forever. From the beginning, she has shown up with love, warmth, and a genuine desire to be part of the family—and she’s become just that. She’s someone I trust, rely on, and is the definition of a true friend. Mikey and I absolutely cherish spending time with Anna and Brooks—laughing, sharing stories, and making memories.
