1. What is the weather like?

June weather here is dry, but temps and conditions are variable. Highs are usually in the 60’s with lows in the 50's. Sunny days in the 60’s can still feel cool if you are in the shade and/or wind. Check out Marshall CA for the accurate weather update – we have microclimates here and the wedding ceremony is atop an open, windy hillside. We are hoping for sun, but June gloom is also possible with foggy/overcast days. So our recommendation is to plan on using layers (both to put on or take off) to stay comfortable.

2. What should I know about the welcome dinner?

Friday night’s welcome dinner will be at the Cow Girl Barn (80 4th Street) in Point Reyes Station (a bit warmer than Marshall). We have both the inside and outside space. Attire is fun casual and plan for cooler night temps.

3. How about wedding details?

Saturday’s wedding in dressy casual summer wedding – no ties required. The ceremony will be at Marconi on Tower Hill, which is a walk up hill from the Lodge (golf cart ride available for our senior contingency). The terrain there is grassy, uneven ground (due to gophers). Our day of coordinator will meet you all at 4pm by the firepit to walk up together. She will take you down to the reception and dinner at Buck Hall after, with dancing to follow the meal. Plan footwear accordingly.

4. What else should I think about?

Our cell coverage in West Marin is spotting. As long as you’re inside Marconi Lodge you’ll be able to use their WiFi. Outside is less reliable so plan according, especially if you’re using your phone for navigation.

The roads around us are narrow and winding, particularly from Point Reyes Station to the wedding venue. Allow extra travel time as you might be slowed down by more cautious drivers, or numerous bike riders. And be extra careful at night, especially driving back from the welcome dinner!
