It all started at the gym in 2020—one of the few places still open during the pandemic. From Cassidy’s perspective, it was love at first calf raise. She spotted Mack mid-workout and immediately thought, "This guy’s a keeper."

Fast forward a few months, and their first date was at a charming outdoor coffee shop. Cassidy was ready for sparks to fly, but when Mack didn’t go in for a kiss, she dubbed him her “awkward duckling.” Despite that slow start, they quickly became inseparable. The moment Mack moved his office chair into Cassidy’s apartment, she knew this was the real deal.

Though they both pride themselves on being independent, they spend practically every waking moment together. Whether they’re indulging their shared love for good food (their unofficial sixth love language), battling it out in video or board games, or chasing adrenaline wake surfing and snowboarding, they’re proof that opposites attract—they never want to leave each other’s side.

One of their most cherished memories is Mack’s proposal in NYC’s Central Park on March 12, 2023. Mack chose the iconic Summerhouse at the Dene gazebo, hired a photographer, and made Cassidy’s NYC-dream proposal come true. It was Mack’s first trip to the city, making it all the more magical for them both.

Their love story is full of quirks, like Cassidy’s “cooking” (aka DoorDash mastery) and Mack’s willingness to fix anything for her mom. Together, they’ve built a life of love, laughter, and the occasional awkward duckling moment.
