Our Wedding

Cate and Alec met and started dating during their sophomore year at the University of Dayton. Their connection grew stronger through college life together and visiting each others family homes during summer and winter breaks. As graduation came near, Alec found himself moving to Cincinnati for a job opportunity - only it wasnt the job that drew him there, but also Cate, who was heading back to her hometown to start her nursing career. After starting the next chapter of their lives together in Cincinnati, some of you may know about the infamous hourglass. Cates dad, Greg, gifted Alec a hourglass, jokingly putting Alec on the clock to propose. A year and a half later on their annual 4th of July trip to Northern Michigan, Alec caught Cate by surprise and proposed on Memorial Beach in Alecs hometown of Elk Rapids, MI.

Please drive, carpool, or uber to and from the ceremony and reception sites. There is street parking in front of the church or ample parking in their parking lot.

Popular area with tons of bar and restaurant options right outside the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals stadiums. Bar crawl and enjoy the designated open refreshment area (DORA). Hopefully the weather is not too cold at the end February!

The Banks

Located 7 minutes from our reception and hotel site, this area has a lot of things to do from day to night. Enjoy shopping at a variety of boutiques and specialty stores, several cocktail and dining options, as well as attractions like Findlay Market and Washington Park.

Over-the-Rhine Cincinnati

Popular area with several bars, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment located in Newport, Kentucky, 5 minutes from our reception and hotel site. The area includes the Newport Aquarium, AMC movie theatre, a Par 3 mini golf, and more!

Newport on the Levee

Cocktail bar located 5 minutes for our ceremony site and 10 minutes from our reception and hotel site. Amazing cocktails and great atmosphere. This is where we had some of our engagement photos taken!
