In 2017, at Skidmore College's Junior Ring—a fancy dance where students gathered for a night of celebration—Edvinas and Catherine finally met face to face. Despite already knowing of each other and harboring secret crushes, their paths had never quite crossed until that evening.

With only Catherine's sisters and brother-in-law in on the plan, a casual stroll turned into a hike up a steep incline, much to Catherine's surprise and slight protest (especially in heels).

At the summit, with panoramic views stretching out before them, Edvinas dropped to one knee and asked Catherine to spend the rest of their lives together. Amidst laughter, tears, and a bottle of champagne, they shared the moment with loved ones over the phone, feeling the warmth of their support from afar.

Grateful for the journey that brought them to this point, Edvinas and Catherine eagerly anticipate celebrating their love with those who have been by their side. 2017 metais Skidmore koledže, prabangiame šokių vakare „Junior Ring,“ studentai susirinko šventei, ir Edvinas bei Catherine pagaliau susitiko veidu į veidą. Nepaisant to, kad jie jau žinojo vienas apie kitą ir slėpė slaptus susižavėjimus, jų keliai niekada nebuvo susikirtę iki to vakaro.

Catherine jau buvo žinojus, kad Edvinas yra jos svajonių vyras, bet dar svarbiau - ji įvertino jo ramų ir mielą būdą. Savo ruožtu Edvinas buvo sužavėtas Catherine, jos užkrečiančiu juoku ir gražia šypsena. Ryšys buvo užmegztas nedelsiant, kuris paklojo pamatus ilgalaikiams santykiams ir po koledžo dienų.

Atvykę iš priešingų pasaulio pusių - Catherine iš Vašingtono valstijos ir Edvinas iš Lietuvos - jų meilės istorija išsivystė Niujorko valstijos kraštovaizdžiuose. Jie įveikė ilgų atstumų iššūkius ir dalinosi džiaugsmu atrandant naujus pasaulio kampelius kartu, galiausiai nuspręsdami apsigyventi Oregono vasltijoje.

Kalvos viršūnėje, panoraminių vaizdų priešaky, priklupęs Edvinas paprašė Catherine rankos ir praleisti likusį gyvenimą kartu. Jie dalijosi šiuo momentu juoko, ašarų ir šampano sukury, jausdami šilumą iš artimųjų skambučių metu.
