In 2017, at Skidmore College's Junior Ring—a fancy dance where students gathered for a night of celebration—Edvinas and Catherine finally met face to face. Despite already knowing of each other and harboring secret crushes, their paths had never quite crossed until that evening. Catherine knew Edvinas was her dream man, but more importantly, appreciated his comforting and kind demeanor. Edvinas, in turn, was captivated by Catherine's sweetness, her infectious laugh, and beautiful smile. Their connection was immediate and genuine, setting the stage for a relationship that would endure beyond college days. Hailing from opposite sides of the globe—Catherine from Washington State and Edvinas from Lithuania—their love story unfolded across the landscapes of Upstate New York. They navigated the challenges of long-distance and shared in the joys of discovering new places together, eventually settling on making Oregon their home. Fast forward to a brisk November day in the Adirondacks, where Edvinas seized the opportunity during a weekend getaway. With only Catherine's sisters and brother-in-law in on the plan, a casual stroll turned into a hike up a steep incline, much to Catherine's surprise and slight protest (especially in heels). At the summit, with panoramic views stretching out before them, Edvinas dropped to one knee and asked Catherine to spend the rest of their lives together. Amidst laughter, tears, and a bottle of champagne, they shared the moment with loved ones over the phone, feeling the warmth of their support from afar. Grateful for the journey that brought them to this point, Edvinas and Catherine eagerly anticipate celebrating their love with those who have been by their side. Their story is not just a fairy tale romance but a testament to the beauty of finding love in unexpected places and the strength of a bond forged through shared adventures and challenges. . 2017 metais Skidmore koledže, prabangiame šokių vakare „Junior Ring,“ studentai susirinko šventei, ir Edvinas bei Catherine pagaliau susitiko veidu į veidą. Atvykę iš priešingų pasaulio pusių - Catherine iš Vašingtono valstijos ir Edvinas iš Lietuvos - jų meilės istorija išsivystė Niujorko valstijos kraštovaizdžiuose. Jie įveikė ilgų atstumų iššūkius ir dalinosi džiaugsmu atrandant naujus pasaulio kampelius kartu, galiausiai nuspręsdami apsigyventi Oregono vasltijoje. Edvinas ir Catherine su nekantrumu laukia tos dienos kai galės atšvęsti šią nuostabią dieną kartu su mylimais žmonėmis, kurie lydėjo juos visos nepakartojamos meilės istorijos metu. Driving to Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle is a fantastic idea if you have the time! It's about a 2-hour drive, depending on traffic and your starting point in Seattle. Once you're there, the scenic drive through the park offers breathtaking views of Mount Rainier itself, all the way up to the base. For those traveling without children, this is a great place to go for happy hour, and enjoy a gorgeous view of Pike Place, the Great Wheel and the waterfront. It is a stunning rooftop bar with great drinks, and an amazing view! Only a 30 minute drive outside of the city, Snoqualmie Falls is a beautiful scenic attraction and worth the drive. There is no hike required to capture these views, but there are trails available to those who are interested.
