Our Wedding

A long time ago, in a sub shop far, far away...

Cat and Chris met Summer of 2013 over their love of Wegmans (or their sandwiches) in Ocean, NJ. Chris at the time was working at Pepsi while Cat was slinging sammies in the Wegmans Sub Shop. At the time, Cat only knew him as 'Pepsi Guy' because he didn't wear a nametag but did wear a bright yellow vest with the Pepsi logo. Little did she know that her Pepsi Guy would become her future hubby! Chris quickly made an impression by asking for the weirdest topping combinations on his subs until he finally asked Cat for her number and they've been together ever since!

Moving to Colorful Colorado

After an amazing year and especially summer together at the troll hole off the Metedeconk River, Chris and Cat went to visit Chris's brother Jimmy and fiancé Jenn in Colorado. Chris got an incredible opportunity to transfer to the Pepsi plant in Denver. As sad as they both were, they both knew this was a great opportunity for Chris but Cat had to finish getting her degree. After a short (but felt like an eternity) year and a half of making it work long distance, Cat made the move out to Colorado in February of 2016 to reunite with Chris.

Living a Mile High

It's crazy how fast time flies! After Cat moved out to Colorado in 2016, she swiftly wanted to put her degree to good use and started her career in HR which introduced the happy couple to amazing people that they are still friends with to this day. Chris and Cat spent their summers camping, hiking, and exploring the Rocky mountains. While also traveling to some new countries and going home to NJ to see their family and friends as often as possible. One of their favorite places to go is Palm Beach, Florida (shout out to Camp Kingfish!!) to visit their Fash and Judy and spend all day out on the water or exploring Peanut Island. In February of 2018 they were able to save enough to buy their first home! The coziest place with a great big yard so they could eventually adopt a puppy.

Adopting their Best Friend

Cat and Chris spent the next few years fixing up their little home in between their adventures and getting the yard ready for a puppy! Fast forward to January 2020 before they knew how much the pandemic would change the world, Cat and Chris diligently researched rescues in Colorado to find their fur baby. Little did they know that the pandemic would quickly pose a challenge as everyone was looking to help dogs who needed homes. After signing up to 10 virtual adoption events, they finally got lucky in April of 2020 where they were able to adopt their baby Otto! Otto is the perfect pup for them and although he's grown quite a bit since they first adopted him, he still insists on sleeping with his mom and dad.

The Proposal!

Every year the Magarelli family gets together in December to celebrate Chris and Guy's (his dads) birthday and to celebrate Christmas. December of 2021 the family went to Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, CO. They were staying in a beautiful cabin and on Saturday December 11th they booked a wagon ride around the ranch. After the wagon ride where they fed horses and took in the breathtaking views, they were offered hot chocolate in the barn. As they were leaving to walk back to their cabin, Chris suggests Cat and him should take a picture with the beautiful mountains as the back drop. While she starts to walk away, Chris gets down on one knee and asks her to be his potato (iykyk) and she said yes! Well so she's told, she actually blacked out from excitement. Chris surprised the ENTIRE family as nobody knew what he was planning to do so it made for a very memorable family celebration!

After almost ten years together they are finally getting married! Thank you for being apart of their lives and special day!

Airport Transfer

Our room block includes roundtrip transportation in the cost of your stay which can be arranged through Pam. The transfers are usually non-private but we imagine most guest will be traveling on the same days/from the same areas (NJ, Denver, and Florida) so you'll likely be on the same shuttles as some of our other guests :) If you'd like to arrange private transfers please connect with Pam to determine what the additional cost would be. We strongly encourage not renting a vehicle.

Travel

The resort has a variety of different things to do! From paddle boarding or snorkeling, or hanging out by the pool or beach you'll never be bored! We recommend downloading the Palladium Hotel Group app (available for both ios and android) as we get closer to the wedding so you can see the resorts activities for our wedding weekend. They have planned events everyday like beach volleyball, dance classes, etc. At night, they'll also have entertainment like dance parties or live shows. One must try thing is Chic Cabaret!
