What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Our ceremony begins at 4:00pm, so we recommend arriving to the church between 3:30-3:50.
What is the dress code?
Summer in Springfield can get very warm, so we recommend wearing semi-formal attire with layers that can be removed between the church ceremony and the reception. We respectfully request you abstain from wearing shades of white, cream, ivory, etc...
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and reception venues are indoors with air conditioning. However, the reception venue does have a rooftop patio should you want to step outside.
What will the weather be like?
Springfield in June is generally pretty warm and humid, so please dress comfortably and appropriately. Again, we recommend layers that can be removed after the church ceremony.
What does the wedding timeline look like?
The ceremony begins at 4:00pm and will be immediately followed by the reception. Please plan on arriving to the ceremony between 3:30-3:50 and then making your way to the reception venue once the ceremony has concluded. Fortunately, our venues are within walking distance or a two minute drive from one to the next. Plan on heading straight to the reception venue for an evening of food, drinks, and fun!
What about parking/transportation?
One of the reasons we so highly recommend you book your hotel in the downtown Springfield area is for quick and easy access to both venues. They are both in the heart of downtown Springfield, so Uber/Lyft rides will be inexpensive. Should you opt to drive, there is a parking lot right across from the church where the ceremony will be held. For the reception, we are providing a complementary valet service.
Can I bring my kids?
We are so blessed to have such large families who have the sweetest children. People of all ages will be included in our wedding ceremony and reception. The names of each invitee will be listed on our formal invitations, children included. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
What about food and drinks?
We plan to have a cocktail hour and a full buffet meal during our reception. In addition, we will have a full open bar with some fun signature cocktails.
Where should I stay? Did you book hotel blocks?
If you are an out of town guest, we highly recommend booking accommodations in the downtown Springfield area, as that will be close to both venues. We have several hotels recommended under the "Hotels" tab of this website, but feel free to book at one of the many other options in the area. We do not have an official hotel block for the wedding, but finding availability in the area should be quick, easy, and affordable :)
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We kindly request that once the ceremony begins, you silence your cell phones and put them away. There will be a plethora of opportunities for all of us to take pictures together throughout the night, but we are looking forward to a technology free ceremony with our loved ones present in the moment.
How do I RSVP?
That's a later you problem! We will have a virtual RSVP go live once formal invitations are mailed out in the spring of 2024.
Where is your registry?
Similarly to the RSVP, we plan to upload our registry on this website after we send out formal invitations.
What should I do while I'm in Springfield?
Check out the tab "Things to Do" for our Springvegas recommendations! (Heads up, it's a lot of craft breweries.)
Who should I contact if I have more questions?
Don't hesitate to reach out to Caddie if you have any additional questions! (Or you can reach out to Jeremy, and Caddie will tell him what to say).
