Wedding Itinerary

It all started on New Year’s Eve in 2014, at a bar in Hyannis. What was meant to be a casual chat (between our friends,) quickly turned into something much more. While our friends' New Years Eve kiss didn't last, our connection only grew and we’ve been talking every day since.

How We Met

After years of making memories, Joseph popped the question at Race Point Beach in Provincetown. What Catherine thought was a fun beach day with friend's, Joseph had other plans. Catherine was completely shocked and leading up to the moment, had a comment for everything. including why did Joseph put on nicer clothes to sit on the beach, or why did they have to take a photo in front of a run down light house. After a little hesitation on where to take the picture, Chris and Maureen (Joseph's partners in surprise) finally snapped the shot—and then Joseph popped the question! It wasn’t perfect, but it was perfectly us, a moment that captured everything we love about each other.

The Proposal

We can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you! Our wedding day marks the start of a new chapter, and we’re beyond excited to have our family and friends by our side as we step into what comes next.

Getting to Newport

Newport is easy to get to, whether you're traveling by car, bus, train, or plane! If you're driving, it’s a quick and scenic trip from Boston or Providence. The Marriott offers free valet service for guests, and there’s also a public parking garage next door for guests choosing other accommodations or traveling for the day. If you're flying in, TF Green Airport is about 30 minutes from downtown Newport. Logan Airport is a little over an hour away from Newport. The nearest train station is in Providence, about a 45-minute ride away. For those taking the bus, Newport's bus station is conveniently located right next to the Marriott, though bus schedules can be a bit sporadic.

Where to stay

All events will take place at the beautiful Newport Marriott, where we’ve arranged a block of rooms for our guests. Nestled in the heart of Newport, the Marriott offers the convenience of being close to everything. To make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible, we encourage you to book your room there, as we won’t be providing transportation from other hotels. For those who prefer other options, there are plenty of lovely hotels and charming boutique accommodations nearby, as well as AirBnBs within walking distance of the Marriott. We're sure you'll find something that suits your style and needs!

Travel

Newport is one of a kind, there is something for everyone to enjoy, with a rich history rooted in sailing and mansions erected during the Gilded Age. There are plenty of things to do and see. In addition to some of the places below there are:trails for hikingbeaches to walk alongshoppinghigh end food and drink

The Cliff Walk offers views of Newport Beaches and the lawns of some of the Newport Mansions. Cliff Walk is a free activity but memorable!
