RSVP
What day should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by March 25th, 2024 so that we can provide an accurate guest count to our vendors. If you are unable to come, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may extend an invitation to others. Thank you for your understanding.
Are Children Allowed?
While we adore the little ones in our lives, we kindly request that you make childcare arrangements for them on the day of the wedding. We can only accommodate those we have listed on the invitation.
Can I bring a plus one?
We truly value your presence on our special day and are happy that you can celebrate with us. As we plan for the wedding, we have made the decision to have a "no plus one" policy. Please know that our decision is not a reflection of our feelings toward your relationships, but rather a consideration to keep our guest list manageable and intimate. We can't wait to celebrate with you and hope you understand our decision.
What should I wear?
We ask that you wear semi-formal attire. For this time of year, we suggest men wear suits or sports jackets and dress pants, and women wear dresses or dressy pants.
What are the wedding colors?
Burgundy, dusty rose, rose gold, ivory and charcoal grey. Bridesmaids will be wearing burgundy and groomsmen will be wearing charcoal grey.
About the Venue
Is this really the outside of the venue?
Yes. It is. It looks like a parking lot in the middle of the forest. But don't be deceived by the outside of the building. The lodge is much cooler and absolutely stunning on the inside.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
A little bit of both! The ceremony will be outside overlooking the Sierra Mountains. It is located approximately 1.4 miles up the road from the reception held at the lodge. Shuttles will be available to transport guests to and from the ceremony site.
After the ceremony, please join the soon-to-be newlyweds back at The Foret House Lodge for cocktail hour and the reception. The cocktail hour will be hosted on the patio at the lodge. The reception will be held indoors at the banquet hall. The Forest House Lodge staff will direct you to the correct locations.
Will there be transportation to the ceremony site?
Yes! A shuttle service will be available to transport guests from The Forest House Lodge to The Grand Sierra Point and back. Please arrive at the lodge first to mingle with friends and family and enjoy Hors d'Oeuvres at 3 pm prior to the ceremony.
Is there going to be open bar?
We'll bring the beer and wine, you bring the party! Beer and wine will be hosted throughout the night compliments of the bride and groom.
Our venue does not allow guests to bring outside liquor. Any bottles found will be confiscated by security. There is a fully stocked bar on site, therefore liquor and cocktails will be available for purchase.
The bar is open until 2 am.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is allowed outside the venue. Our venue is cigar and 4/20 friendly, however, cigarettes are prohibited.
