Every journey has a story, and some stories are longer than others. After a long, long search, we found each other in the magical realm of the internet. We both had kissed many frogs along our way, but when we finally found each other, we knew right away it was something special. Even though we were 6 hours apart, we decided to take the leap of faith and meet in OKC for our first “date weekend.” It was love at first sight and a bittersweet parting until our next visit. Between visits, we spent countless hours on the phone getting to know each other. Throughout the summer, we made long trips between Iowa and Oklahoma several times until we decided it was meant to be and that we should reside under one roof. One hundred twenty-three days after our first date, we made a “date” to go to the Omaha Zoo, and Shane proposed to Cat. We are looking forward to our special day and our happily ever after.
