Our Wedding

We met in early March 2020 in Satellite Image Analysis after both transferring to George Mason University as Geography majors. Failing to get each other’s contact information, graduation dates, or even last names before being sent off campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was unclear if we would cross paths again. Fast forward to August 2020; We end up in the same Geography Capstone class and find ourselves sitting next to each other. This particular course had a group project requirement, so we decided to work together. We found that we made a great team, and forged an unspoken agreement to collaborate on all group projects moving forward. Our academic partnership turned into a genuine friendship, which blossomed into romance shortly following our college graduation in May 2021. 4 years, 6 zip codes, 3 apartments, and 1 cat (Jeff) later, we have decided that we’re finally ready to tie the knot! We are so excited to celebrate our love with our family and friends in June 2026!

If you prefer a more traditional hotel experience, we recommend Hampton Inn &amp; Suites Culpeper, which is within a 10 minute drive to the venue. There are also larger and “more Instagram-able” rentals properties in the surrounding area. Kevin adopted Jeff in June 2023 from the Orange County Animal Shelter. 6-years old at the time of owner surrender, Jeff had been waiting in the shelter for about 3 months before finding his forever home. Despite his age, Jeff acclimated quickly to his new life with Kevin post adoption. Jeff is a friendly and curious companion who loves wet food, cardboard scratchers, and freshly washed linens. Many middle-aged and senior animals remain in shelters much longer than their younger counterparts. While most families prefer to adopt kittens or puppies, it should be worth noting that our mature furry friends deserve love too! The next time you are looking for animal companionship, please consider adopting an adult or senior pet.
