Arlene,my mother, was the one that convinced me to stick my foot in the dating door.
“You won’t find Prince Charming staying at home with me. He’s not going to come knocking on this door Celine”
So I opened the dating app hinge and I was almost ready to cancel my account when I got a rose 🌹 from an admirer. He had many different interesting pictures, which I have teased him about multiple times, because they were all from different parts of his life. He had kind eyes, a great smile, knew how to have a conversation and he made me laugh over text.
So when he asked the question “Would you fancy going out to dinner?”
I definitely had to say yes. No one had ever asked me to dinner in such a proper way.
I saw him standing in front of Shady park, in Tempe and my mouth dropped. He was more than I expected! Smoking hot!
Shady park was closed so his idea -let’s go to the Irish bar down the street, on cinco de mayo. We started to walk towards the other location talking about his most recent trip to Florida when he saw a shark swimming in the ocean while he was swimming in the ocean. And then out of no where he revealed the best laugh I have ever heard out of any human being. Call me crazy but at that moment I knew he was exactly who I was waiting for. Since then we have gone on many memorable trips, adventures and have had so much to laugh at. He has continued to be the most generous, amazing, super smart, talented at so much, strong, clever, thoughtful and the list could go on, love. But I am so humbled and so happy that I will soon be able to call him my husband ❤️

Celine and I met back in May 2021. For our first date I thought I’d mix it up and bring her to Rula Bula, a nice Irish bar on Cinco de Mayo 😜 we had chatted for a while online at this point so I was very excited to finally meet her.

On the date, we sat and got to know each other and laughed a lot. Conversation was easy (despite the few times I stared over at a blank face as she tried to work out what I said with my accent, but we worked through it 😆). I found her incredibly gorgeous and she had a genuine warmth about her. I can say looking back that I definitely felt a connection with her straight away.

Fast forward a few months into dating, she had asked me to go on a trip with her to her favorite lake, Lake Powell, to camp and rent jet skis. She knew I had never been on a jet ski, so when she started driving so erratically that I could swear she was intentionally trying to buck me off the back of it for the laugh I found it hilarious. I pretty much knew then that I was mad about this woman.

With each passing day I love Celine more and more and I feel so fortunate to have found such a kind, intelligent, thoughtful, warm-hearted, gorgeous, woman to soon be able to call my wife. I am grateful to have her by my side and look forward to going through life with her ❤️
