It all started on the night of December 15, 2018. Celine was back for Christmas break and Kepler was recently graduated, living in Tacoma. They both happened to go out to Steel Creek Bar and Celine immediately noticed Kepler and thought he was cute. Coincidentally, one of the friends Celine was out with, knew Kepler through playing soccer at the same club. The two were introduced for the first time.

Fast forward to the next day, Kepler asked for Celine's number, then 6 days later, the pair went on their first date which involved Zoolights, ice skating, and Farrelli's Pizza. Prior to Celine heading back to Gonzaga, they had 2 more dates at Spunky Monkey Bar and Dave & Busters.

During the next year, Celine was in Spokane finishing up her bachelor's degree, but the two remained friends. After graduating in December 2019, Celine moved up to North Seattle and Kepler bought his first home in Kent. After a couple of attempts to make a relationship work, they decided that the timing wasn't right and it was best to stay friends. Twelve hours later, Kepler dropped off flowers and a card in hopes that the two could try to make it work one last time; Celine agreed.

The pair dated for a couple of months then on October 1st, 2022, the two planned a weekend trip to Richmond, B.C to go to the Richmond Night Market. After a night of arcade games and tasty asian food, Kepler asked Celine to be his girlfriend officially, and she said YES!

Since then, the couple have enjoyed time together going to Mariners games, visiting national parks, eating out at their favorite restaurants in Seattle, and spending time in their home away from home, Lincoln City. They also enjoy spending time with their favorite dogs, Champ, Bolt, and Nora.

Fast forward to December 13th weekend, 2024, almost 6 years from the day the couple first met, Kepler, Celine and Chaz (the bride's brother) booked a weekend getaway to Lake Crescent Lodge at Olympic National Park. At the "last minute", Chaz was unable to make the trip though this was always part of the plan. On that Saturday, Kepler proposed to Celine in the pouring rain on the dock of the lodge, and she said YES!
