For out-of-town guests wanting to stay in a hotel, we have a few suggestions:
1) The first option is Hotel Murano Tacoma. This hotel is about a 30-minute drive from Sea-Tac International Airport, an 8-minute drive from our ceremony and a 25-minute drive from our reception. Please note that Tacoma is a more lively city with more to do compared to Puyallup. Use the promo code WED10 when booking online for a discount.
2) The second option is Fairfield Inn & Suites in Puyallup. This hotel is about a 30-minute drive from Sea-Tac International Airport, a 25-minute drive from our ceremony and an 8-minute drive from our reception.
3) The third option is Silver Cloud Hotel Tacoma at Point Ruston Waterfront. This hotel is about a 35-minute drive from Sea-Tac International Airport, a 5-minute drive from our ceremony and a 30-minute drive from our reception. It is a more expensive option, but it's a beautiful hotel located right on the Puget Sound.
There are also several Airbnb options available in both the Tacoma and Puyallup area, if a house is more preferred. We would recommend staying in the North End of Tacoma.
PLEASE NOTE: FIFA World Cup 2026 may affect room rates. We advise reserving rooms sooner rather than later to ensure favorable rates.
1) Point Defiance Park & Zoo: Visit the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, walk the Rose Garden, or hike on some of the trails.
2) Ruston Way Waterfront: Rent bikes, eat at waterfront restaurants, explore the waterwalk, shop, or visit the beach!
3) Museum District: Explore the Museum of Glass, Tacoma Art Museum, or LeMay - America's Car Museum.
1. A Day at Pike Place and the Waterfront! Don’t forget all the small cute shops in Post Alley and the gum wall. The Waterfront has a lot of fun shops, restaurants and a ferris wheel and is located right below Pike Place.
2. Visit these skyline view spots: Kerry Park or Gasworks Park.
3. Do a guided tour of Pioneer Square (Seattle’s original downtown).
4. Visit the Space Needle and go to the top!
Other options that are a bit more pricey: Take a ferry to one of the local islands to explore (San Juans, Vashon, Bainbridge, etc.) or take a Guided Harbor Cruise leaving from of one of the piers.
Here are some fun things to do outside the Seattle-area:
1. Visit our national parks: Mt. Rainier or the Olympics!
