We first met at Aubuchon Hardware, on Devons first day working. Chaela walked up and said hello, and he stared at her without saying a word, to which she thought he immediately hated her and ended up walking away, going back to work.

Fast forward a month later, he finally started talking, revealing it was his birthday and Chaela bought him a bag of candy to celebrate. Apparently, food really is the way to his heart as he then became my work husband and best friend after that.

It took another 9 months for the stars to align, and Chaela to realize anyone she tried to date did not compare to Devon and how he treated her, to get the balls to call him and profess her feelings.

We started talking as more than friends and soon made it official a month later, in March, 2023.

Shout out to Hannah Palladino, for knowing both of us liked the other for a good 5-6 months before we both confessed. She did not tell either of us the other felt the same, and watched our painful flirtations and friend-zones like it was a TV Drama.
