Chandni and Neeran had an interesting start to their love story back in the fall of 2020. They owe it all to their mutual friend, Amrish, whom Chandni has known since childhood. He had worked with Neeran previously, and the universe decided it was time for their paths to cross. Little did they know how bumpy and entertaining this journey would be.

Their first date was at Einstein's, a quirky choice because Neeran was staying in Aliana to take care of his mom after her surgery. As the date unfolded, it was clear they had a connection, so they decided to keep the momentum going and headed to Top Sushi for dinner. That's when Chandni discovered Neeran was a vegetarian. Chandni asked the manager to create a custom veggie roll just for him. He seemed to appreciate the gesture, and the date was going seemingly well.

They decided to meet up again at Top Sushi the following week (don't judge them for our sushi obsession). This time, Neeran rolled up in his tiny Mazda Miata. Chandni was annoyed from the get-go trying to squeeze herself in and out of that pint-sized car. But, somehow, it made them laugh and brought them closer together. Later that evening, Neeran went over to Chandni’s place to watch a movie. All was going well until they realized he was allergic to her beloved cats. It was a true dilemma; her cats are like her children. They decided it probably wouldn't work out for them, but they remained friends and continued to hang out.

Fast forward two years, they were sitting at Einstein's, their local "Cheers," when their friend Shawna decided to play Cupid. She called them out and declared that they were acting foolish by pretending they weren't into each other. They looked at each other and realized she was absolutely right. It was time to admit that they were meant for each other.

With a little help from Neeran's two best friends, Zyrtec and Allegra, he proposed marriage to her. And, ironically, her sweet black cat, Bagheera, played a pivotal role in the execution of this heartwarming moment. On July 1, 2022, Neeran popped the question, and she said "yes" without hesitation. And just like that, their love story took a delightful twist, turning two friends into life partners, thanks to a little sushi, a tiny Mazda, some allergy medication, and Bagheera.

Those who know Chandni well understand that she had long given up on the notion of finding that elusive "one" – her person. She’d managed to convince herself that she was perfectly content with being alone, sharing her life with her beautiful babies (her five kitties and two pups). But then, along came Neeran, and all her well-crafted plans were joyfully dismantled. Just kidding!

They can't pinpoint the exact moment when they realized they were the one for each other. It wasn't some grand gesture or a lightning bolt of love. Instead, it was a multitude of tiny, heartwarming moments that built up. From day one, and every day since, they've been creating this space filled with love, trust, and shared laughter that will last for the rest of our lives.

Whether it's Neeran’s infectious laughter, his patience when Chandni can't decide what to wear, his knack for always knowing when to surprise her with random acts of kindness, or the way he makes her feel like she’s the only person in the world when he looks at her – these are just a few of those tiny moments that reassure them that this is why they want to spend the rest of their lives together.

They’re grateful every single day for finding not just a life partner in each other but are also best friends. Their love story has had its unique twists and turns, from sushi dinners to cat allergies, and everything in between.
