Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail

155 Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail, Monterey, CA 93940, USA

This trail follows along the Monterey Bay coast, passing all sorts of Monterey wildlife, shops, and places to stop in to eat. This trail is great for a walk, a run, or a bike ride!

Explore Big Sur

Big Sur is incredible. One of our favorite places to visit and you'll quickly see why. Drive down to Big Sur for a gorgeous drive down the coastline. Just the drive in itself is beautiful, with many overlooks to stop at along the way. Big Sur is also full of amazing hikes, from long to short hikes. Choose from either coastal hikes to redwoods hikes to a combination of both! There are also a few restaurants to choose from, all with incredible views!

Point Lobos State Natural Reserve

Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA 93923, USA
(831) 624-4909

This park is STUNNING! The views are magnificent and you can either do a small hike or hike the whole park loop which is only about 7.5 miles. Also cool is the whaler's cabin in the park that has real whale bones and abalone shells outside. I recommend parking on the street outside the park.

Wine Tasting

You're in wine country! Monterey is known for its Pinot Noirs. There are too many wineries for us to make recommendations for you! We highly recommend taking a trip to Carmel Valley where they have over 20 wine tasting rooms all on one street! Downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and downtown Monterey also offer some exceptional wine tasting rooms!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

886 Cannery Row, Monterey, CA 93940, USA
(831) 648-4800

Beautiful aquarium highlighting the aquatic life in the Monterey Bay with an exceptional exhibit on jellyfish!

Golfing

Plenty of options for a golfing adventure! Pebble Beach offers some of the top golf courses in the country. For a more affordable choice, Monterey Pines delivers a relaxed setting with well-maintained greens and plenty of charm. There are plenty more golfing options all over the peninsula; you choose your views!

Explore Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach is not a top golf destination for nothing! The views are incredible, and anyone can enjoy them driving along the 17-mile drive (the actual, historic starting point to 17-mile drive is at the Del Monte Hotel at Naval Postgraduate School!). You can choose to drive the whole way or stop and get out at multiple viewpoints or beaches. Stop along the way at either end of the drive to enjoy a bite or a drink. One option for a bite or drink is Spanish Bay, where they have a few restaurants and outdoor firepits with views overlooking the Bay. Another option is the Pebble Beach Lodge, which has a few restaurants, firepits, cozy indoor fireplaces, and views of the famous Pebble Beach Golf Course. The third option is The Hay, which is a Mexican-inspired restaurant/bar that overlooks The Hay golf course, which is Pebble Beach's 9-hole par 3 golf course, which is so much fun to play!

Explore Carmel-by-the Sea

Carmel-by-the-Sea is a quaint town with cute shops, delicious food, and plenty of wine tasting! Spend the day shopping, with a break for a wine tasting flight, and a delectable meal or sweet treat!
