Our cats are very much a part of our family. We often wonder how we managed to end up with 4 but we wouldn't change it for the world. Sure -- cat hair is not the best statement piece, but there is no shortage of lint rollers in this house.

Our Cats--

Mars is a 10 year old, orange tabby boy who demands all of your attention. Mars is the biggest and oldest of the bunch and way too smart for his (read OUR) own good. You would be surprised to know that despite his size, he has the tiniest meow, the loudest purr, and is the neediest of them all. He loves role playing as a tripping hazard and licking water off Ryan's legs when he gets out of the shower. He is the first to come cuddle purrs looooong after you stop petting him. Mars has his own hairbrush (like the human kind, a magenta wet brush to be exact) and will sit patiently next to it until you indulge his request (demand).

Nicknames: Marsums, Big Guy, Mr. Marsums.

Mieko is our 7 year old , tiny (by our standards) gray and white girl. She follows charlotte around like a shadow and can be found snoozing under any blanket or in any nook or cranny. Luckily, she prefers the same few spots so just a quick run down the list until you find her hiding spot. Throwing away card board boxes is a no no and she will claim it the moment the seal is cut. You try looking her in the eye while you take her favorite box away (pssst. they are all her favorite). ) She is the spunkiest and weirdest of the bunch, she is known to bark like a dog, but her unique and silly habits will make you love her even more. She is a big fan of butt rubs and will position herself so your hand is closest to her rump. She sleeps on top of Charlotte (she prefers the right thigh only) or inches away from Charlottes face, staring at her until she wakes up.

Nicknames: Shrimpy, Shrimpy Girl, Peanut, Pinochle, Sweet Girl, Baby Girl, Bee-ieko, silly girl.

- Magnus: 5 years old grey and white tabby, and a glutton for food. As our sweet friend Dao has deemed him the CFO - chief food officer and well, he certainly lives up to his title. Every morning, Magnus will watch you from his perch on top of the dresser, like a gargoyle, until you answer his demands for wet food. It is a requirement to communicate "I fed them" between Ryan and I because Magnus will often try to swindle the last out of bed for another helping. Magnus can be a bit shy, just not in the kitchen. I once caught him running up the stairs carrying an entire bag of shredded coconut in his mouth. The look on his face when he noticed me at the top of the stairs :o.

Nicknames: Majjy - Maggy

- Nova: A 5 year old black and white tuxedo girl. Nova is full of feelings and the most sensitive of the bunch. We love her girlie personality and the tiny white spot on top of one side of her lip. When she see's you enter a room, she starts furiously rubbing and bumping up against the walls because she just cannot wait to be pet. She can be found hanging on the top level of her "cubicle" and will lay like a baby in your arms at night.

Nicknames: Snoba, Noba, Snova, Snobey, Snoga
