Ryan & Charlotte's Love Story

Ryan's Story

The first time I saw her I knew I wanted to be around her. I don’t remember what she was wearing. I don’t remember what I was wearing. I remember she had long hair and a really big smile. A lot of time passed and though we never got a chance to connect, I never forgot about her.

I figured she was out of my league but I decided to take a chance anyway. About a year later, I asked one of her friends, who is now a bridesmaid in our wedding, to set up a date for us. The only photo she could find of me was an old facebook picture I posted as a joke. I made sure she got a new picture and hoped she would say yes. Well, she did! Our mutual friends planned a backyard BBQ as an excuse for the two of us to meet. At the time, she was a vegetarian so I made sure to bring some things she could eat. The night went well but I wanted to make sure we got a private moment together. We talked outside for an hour, just the two of us, and that’s when I knew I liked her. I knew I was gonna have to work hard to keep her and as of today, it’s been 5 years.

Silly things I love about Charlotte:

- I love that she can breakdown the situation at any given time during a baseball game

- I love that she refuses to move a muscle if one of our cats is sleeping on her

- I love that she makes me feel young

Charlotte's Story

What I love most about Ryan’s and I’s relationship, is our dedication to each other through all of life’s twists and turns. We both met when we were relatively young. Over the course of 6 years, we have gotten to walk hand-in-hand through what I feel have been the most defining years of our lives. I feel lucky to look back at where we started, and see where we are now. Despite career changes, adopting 4 cats, moving into a new house, and many other life-shaping events, our love for eachother does not waiver. Instead, we have both grown stronger as individuals and as a couple. And now, the first 6 years of our relationship becomes the rest of our lives!

My favorite things about Ryan & Our Relationship:

- How he has embraced my family, sometimes I think they love him more than they love me ;)

- How he has a way of making me believe in myself, whenever I have self-doubt.

- How he is fearlessly a cat dad. He even swung (violently I might add) the car around on the way to the lake to grab two kittens off of the side of the road.

- Our many inside jokes that STILL haven’t gotten old yet.
