Our story starts at a music festival called EDC Orlando. Sharing an AirBnB with a group of mutual friends, we first laid eyes on each other on 11/07/2019. While the group got acquainted, Pizza had aux control. Chelsea was intrigued by the secret playlists Pizza was queueing up, but even more so by the strange and unshakable feeling that she had already known this stranger for ages... for lifetimes, even.

No, nothing happened during this time, or for the next two years. But things would all change as soon as Chelsea moved to Utah.

One summer day, Pizza invited Chelsea to go out boating with his friends. Chelsea said that she had to wash her dog and then would come out (Mr. Boomie Boom was very dusty from his first hike in his new mountain home). Usually when Pizza hears something like this, he expects the person to bail. But Chelsea didn’t bail. She didn't really know it yet, but she was hungry for a hot cheesy slice.

Following a fun day on the water, Pizza invited Chelsea for drinks and we spent the evening catching up, laughing, and connecting over music. It turned out that music wasn't the only thing we had in common. Our love for adventure and the outdoors led to our first date driving up Farmington Canyon in Pizza's Jeep, and watching the sun set across the Great Salt Lake from atop the mountains.

Over the next few months, we went splat, splat, splat. On 02/22/2022 we leveled up and officially became a couple. In May, we went overlanding (off-roading + camping) in Moab for the first time together. While in Canyonlands, Chelsea really wanted to go down Shafer Trail, but Pizza wasn't sure if Chelsea's Jeep was properly equipped yet. This is when the gears started turning in Pizza‘s head, and he knew that the day they eventually descended down the switchbacks would also be the day he would get down on one knee and propose to her...

Fast forward one amazing year later and we are traversing down Shafer Trail. We pulled off to the side to "take a picture" and pizza pulled a giant rock out of his pocket. Pizza assumed the position and proposed to Chelsea. Chelsea was impressed at how the rock sparkled compared to the dusty red rocks surrounding them, so she decided to say "no… fucking way!" (ie YES... duh.) After the trip we started making wedding plans and booked our dream venue right in Moab.

Following a trip to Moab last September, we joked about buying property there. After window shopping for properties and houses in Moab we ended up sending each other listings closer to home. It wasn’t until we started looking at home prices and mortgages near us, that we realized this could actually be a possibility this year. So what started out as a joke eventually became us looking for a house, but with this came the decision to let go of our venue and pare down our wedding. As we write this story in our beautiful new home, we can’t help but feel guilty for having no remorse.

So this is our story and the start of a new chapter. As our wedding draws near and our new home is filled with love, we look forward to sharing our special day and our special place with you.
