THIS GIRL IS SOMETHING ELSE. We met as neighbors at 5 years old. I looked over the fence after I heard a new girl was “in town”, and I saw a girl with curly hair wearing a sundress while playing with a corgi named Jenna. At first I said, “This girl looks too “girly” for me… within the next month we were jumping on the trampoline for hours on end while going on “adventures” through peoples backyards and taking regular bike rides to Blockbuster every weekend. We have been sisters ever since.

Emma and I met during the first year of college at the University of Kansas. She was my “dorm neighbor” and I stopped by her room being invasive and friendly as ever, as every freshman starts off. Before I knew it she was giving me shots of B12 for a health deficiency because I was too scared to poke myself with a needle… (too much information? Probably.) Emma will not be able to attend the wedding because she lives in San Diego and is cooking a little human in her belly and we are SO HAPPY FOR HER. Since I’m in denial, I’ll pretend she is physically by my side on the big day.

This girl was MY VERY FIRST FRIEND AT KU! We met during KU Cheer tryouts as we were both Colorado recruits. We talked nervously and exchanged numbers. She helped me with all things cheer because I was a gymnast and had no idea how to do my hair or hold a sign or really smile while performing for that matter. Before I knew it she came to my high school graduation party and we have been lil’ homies ever since. As roommates, teammates and besties, I’ve watched her through all of life’s greatest moments and I couldn’t be happier that she can be here for mine.

Anna and I bonded FAST through KU Cheer. As I already heard through the grapevine that she was trying out after being a Rock Chalk Dancer for two years, she said “hell I can flip, I can tumble… teach me how to stunt in two weeks” and boom. There she was, tumbling by my side during a cheer routine as we exchanged She’s The Man quotes (highly underrated content). She’s been my spunky best friend ever since.

Another KU Cheer teammate turned best friend. My Southern Peach who helps me with everything girl related. I’m surprised she’s not sick of me with how many times I came into her room when living together and basically said “dress me I’m poor”. Our friendship grew even stronger as I moved to Austin for PT school while she lived in Dallas. Couldn’t have gotten through it without our visits!

Kinsey has been been there for me since middle school. I don’t think a lot of us can say that and I both love and hate it. She’s been there for me during my awkward phases, she arguably helped me get into PT school by telling her PT mother that I needed a job/hours to apply for school. We grew our friendship through all the catching up during holidays and summer breaks during college, and got even closer after I moved back to Denver.

MY SISTER FROM THE SAME MISTER! Misha and I have a fun little history. She hated me when we were younger. As kids, we would have to sleep in our parents king size bed on Christmas Eve so they could hep “Santa” put out the gifts (or something like that). She’d kick me if I got too close. She also shot me in the foot with a BB gun. All in good fun though, don’t worry. I always looked up to her and did everything she did. Once high school hit I think you realized I was cooler than you and you started showing me your cool hobbies and interests. You introduced me to music, snowboarding and our favorite childhood home called Woodward. You took me to my first concert (Ska concert, at that). Our family ain’t easy, but we are so related it hurts.

Erica is Ryan’s sister, and I met her somewhere around 2017 when I really liked Ryan but things weren’t “official”. One night we went to the bars and Ryan fake proposed to this stranger for a scavenger hunt (me from afar, not realizing it was a game and being slightly cray cray), I was MAD MAD. Erica said something along the lines of “he likes you I know it, this is stupid, let’s act like you don’t care and dance downstairs. And we danced the night away while forgetting about Ryan entirely (at least for a while ;) ) I am grateful to have this future sister in law that is so creative and fun 🤍

Best friend through it all! From the start of our friendship we’ve clicked like butter on bread! He’s pushed me to be the world traveler I am today when I met him in Thailand and Cambodia as a 19 y/o creating memories I’ll never forget. One of which took us backpacking through the northeast mountains of Cambodia where we ate frogs, drank bamboo tea, swam with river dolphins, trekked through a vine covered jungle, built a bamboo boat to raft down river rapids, met amazing local Cambodians and grew to love the adventure!

Brett was one of my first friends at CSU! We’ve work through every engineering project we possibly could! He convince me to join Pi Kappa Phi after our second semester! He taught me and pushed me to be the Skier I am today! We’ve seen places throughout the world, worked through many fun engineering problems and I couldn’t ask for a more loyal friend! And most importantly, he introduced me to one of his best friends from high school - Chelsea Anne Speck! Extremely excited to have you by our side and tie the knot as our Officiant!
