Hike Lake Blanche

One of the most beautiful hikes in the Wasatch! In just 4 miles (Chelsea estimation, actual distance 7 miles out and back) you will see vibrant fall colors, the jagged Sundial Peak reflected off crystal alpine lakes, and maybe even a moose or two. Take some extra time to explore the waterfalls that fall into adjoining lakes Florence and Lillian.

Rock Climb Storm Mountain

The Storm Mountain climbing area holds 76 total climbing routes for all ability levels. Walls of granite tower over Big Cottonwood Creek interspersed by pine and maple trees. Bonus points for climbing Alec Style (shirtless).

Mountain Bike The WOW

Experience stunning views through alpine aspens, pine forests, and high desert rock above Midway. The Wasatch Over Wasatch or WOW trail is a great mix of technical rock gardens and flowy berms. For the best bang for your buck, ride the WOW as a single track shuttle. From Brighton, drive 13 miles over Guardsman Pass and park the pick up car at the WOW trailhead. Drive 6 miles back up Pine Canyon Road to the Boulder Basin trailhead. Start off with a 300’ climb that will get you to 9 miles and 2,200’ of fun downhill!

Hike Around Silver Lake

Take a leisurely stroll on the boardwalk around Silver Lake from the base of Brighton. Start at the Solitude Nordic Center across from the Brighton Store. For a more challenging route, hike the 4 mile loop to see Silver Lake, Twin Lake, Lake Mary, and Dog Lake which surround Brighton.

Guardsman Pass Overlook

Rating: Advanced

The crown jewel mountain bike trail of the Wasatch offers 24 miles and 360-degree views from the top of Park City ridgeline. Start at the top of Guardsman Pass Lookout 6 miles from Brighton and climb up the famed “puke hill” before beginning the rolling descent through mountain meadows and forests. Test your technical skills on the red rock spine, a no fall zone high above Desolation Lake. Cruise down the backside into Millcreek Canyon for some flowy fun before hitting Millcreek canyon road and back to your drop car. Celebrate with beers at the Hogswallow bar down the road #butdidyoudie
