What Airport Should We Fly Into?

That depends! LAX is certainly the largest in the area, but it is also the farthest away. Burbank Airport (aka Bob Hope) is closer and smaller, and Ontario Airport is closest and smallest. Depending on what flights are available and what time you'll be driving, traffic makes a big difference! Our Travel page has more details on both airports and places to stay.

Where Should We Stay?

Look for Upland or Claremont, CA when booking on Airbnb. You can also check out the cabins at Mount Baldy Lodge which are very nearby. If you'd like to stay down the hill/more "in-town", there are lots of hotels about 20 minutes driving from the venue such as the DoubleTree Claremont. Our Travel page has more detailed info about airports and places to stay.

Are you getting married on top of a mountain??

Don't be alarmed! Our venue is totally accessible, no hiking or climbing needed, and there is easy parking. It is on the road up to Mt. Baldy at about 4500' elevation, but not as intense as the Save The Dates might make it seem!

But for real, how mountainy are we talking here?

Ok, for real: The venue is all outdoors, and has a mixture of things you'll be walking on like hardpacked dirt, some woodchips, and concrete. What this means is we don't recommend stiletto heels or anything else you don't feel supremely confident in on uneven ground. That said, no hiking boots required either. Feel free to check out the venue's instagram @Pondoaks if you want to see some pictures and get a better idea! NOTE: the dance floor is concrete! Bring some comfortable dancing shoes if you need to!

What is parking like at the venue?

There is ample parking at the venue! When you arrive you will see a gravel lot right next to the entrance gate on the east side of Mt Baldy Road, and another lot across the road that stretches up the road a ways. These are both fair game for parking and have more than enough space for all of our guests. Please reserve the few spaces closest to the entrance gate for guests with limited mobility. We appreciate it!

What kind of weather should we expect?

Although southern California in June may bring perfect beach weather to mind, the venue is at 4,500' elevation and therefore can be fairly unpredictable. Mountain temperatures at this elevation average around 70-75 degrees during the day but can drop into the 50s or 60s at night, so please bring appropriate layers and know we will have firepits and propane heaters scattered throughout the party for maximum comfort! In the event of rain, the wedding will still be fully outside, but under a tent. Of course we hope no tenting will be required, but it's always best to be prepared!

What kind of food can we expect?

Dinner will be served buffet style and will include options for nearly all diets including pescatarian, vegetarian, and vegan. Limited gluten free options will be available, but please contact the bride and/or groom if you need any dietary accommodations!
