Travel Overview

Mount Baldy (AKA Mount San Antonio) is the highest peak in Los Angeles county at 10,064'. Mount Baldy village (where the venue is located) is about halfway up the mountain at 4,500' elevation. Very few if any rideshares service Mount Baldy Village and, therefore, a car will be needed to reach it--bear in mind!

What airport should we fly into?

That depends! LAX is certainly the largest in the area, but it is also the farthest away. Burbank Airport (aka Bob Hope) is closer and smaller, and Ontario Airport is closest and smallest. Depending on what flights are available and what time you'll be driving, traffic makes a big difference! More info below on this page.

Where should we stay?

There are a few options! Look for Upland or Claremont, CA when booking on Airbnb. You can also check out the cabins at Mount Baldy Lodge which are very nearby. If you'd like to stay down the hill/more "in-town", there are lots of hotels about 20 minutes driving from the venue such as the DoubleTree Claremont! By the way, June is a fairly popular time to travel, so book as early as you feel comfortable doing so! More info below on this page.

One of the more classic accommodations in the area, the Doubletree is approximately 20 minutes from the venue by car. You are much more "in town" with this hotel, meaning you're near amenities like restaurants, gas, and plentiful wifi/cell service.

A bit of a misnomer, Mount Baldy Lodge is a collection of cabins walking distance from the venue (those excited about the wedding's open bar: take note)! The cabins vary in size and number of guests they can sleep. These cabins tend to book fast and we were unable to block off any for our guests, so book soon if you want to get the mountain cabin experience!

The largest of the nearby airports and therefore the most likely to have an array of affrodable flights. It is located in a dense urban area, so be prepared for the drive out of the city if flying into LAX!


Hollywood Burbank Airport/Bob Hope (BUR)

A relatively small and easily accessible airport, much quieter and simpler than LAX but likely more expensive to fly in and out of. Notably, this is the closest airport to the bride and groom's residence (10 minutes away).
