Wedding Ceremony
Where is the Wedding Ceremony?
Maroon Bells Amphitheater is Aspen, CO.
This a National Forest Site, so while we did rent the amphitheater, there may be others in the area .
What time is the ceremony?
The ceremony starts at 4:30pm MT.
We ask that you please arrive between 3:45 and 4:15pm MT. We will have two passenger vans shuttling guests to and from the service. Please see "Wedding Day Transportation" on the "Travel & Transportation" page.
Are children allowed at the ceremony?
Unfortunately, the venue's location limits our guest capacity. Children under 18 are not allowed. We have only made an exception for the siblings of the groom.
What type of venue is this?
The ceremony will take place outdoors at the Maroon Bells Amphitheater. This is no overhead coverage and seating is stadium/amphitheater style so please plan accordingly.
Wedding Reception
Where is the Reception?
60 Cheyln Rd, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
This is private cabin rental, but plenty of parking.
What time is the Reception?
Soft reception inside the cabin starts around 7pm-7:30pm, while the main reception/dinner starts at 8:30pm, giving the newly weds plenty of time to arrive and change!
Are children allowed at the reception?
Unfortunately, we're planning to make this entire wedding an adult only affair due to limited space. Additionally, the reception is an hour away from the venue. We cannot accommodate them at the ceremony or reception space.
Dress Code and Weather
Dress Code?
We ask that you dress nice (NO JEANS!), as many of you will likely be asked to participate in family portraits. Our colors are sage/eucalyptus green, burnt orange/terracotta, slate grey, and beige. Below is a dress code inspo board - we hope it helps!
The weather in the summer is rather nice, but please check the forecast for Aspen, CO and plan accordingly.
What if it rains?
Then we'll get wet - please check the forecast and plan accordingly, there is no overhead coverage.
Photos and Hashtags
How do I know if I'm in Wedding Photos?
If you are immediate family member (parent, sibling, or grandparent), you will be in the main family photos.
ALL GUESTS will be in our group photo right after the ceremony :) Additionally, there will be a photo wall, camcorder, and disposal cameras at the reception for photos with the newly weds and guests!
Is there a wedding hashtag?
Yes - #MeetTheMcCoys
Invites
When were invitations sent out?
Invitations were sent out the first week of September. Please check your phones for the text message containing the invitation.
Will you be sending physical invitations and save the dates?
No - while we understand the value in tradition, we are proud of our choice to use GreenVelope to deliver our invitations sustainability. We have opted out of save-the-dates. Additionally, our invitations were designed during a collaboration with the National Parks Foundation so a portion of our invitation's proceeds are donated to the National Parks Foundation Charity. We're also proud to acknowledge that GreenVelope has planted over 100,000 trees in partnership with the National Forest Service. Since our ceremony is being held at a National Forest site, working with this company felt like the right decision for us and we're happy to be participating in making the world a greener and more sustainable place.
Why did you send the invites out so early?
Because this is a destination wedding, we wanted everyone to have the opportunity to think about their ability to attend and have time to plan their stay.
Can I bring a +1?
Unless it was specified on your invitation, unfortunately you're not allowed to bring a +1. We only opted for +1s that we know personally or are engaged/married to our friends/family members. We also have strict limits at our venue and cannot accommodate everyone's +1.
RSVPs
When Should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by May15th, 2024.
I don't see my name on the RSVP list?
Unfortunately, our venue has a very limited capacity. We have opted for a micro wedding, only inviting close family and friends.
