If you ask Chloe: My dating life was never rainbows and butterflies, it was rocky, to say the least. So I became more focused on what I needed to do personally, to grow and become the best version of myself I knew I could be. So when my sister invited me to a get-together at her boyfriends (who is now her husband) friends house, after I had just worked a 12-hour shift in the height of retails holiday season, I knew what I needed to do... which was sleep, so I declined the offer. After a bit of convincing, she was able to change my mind and I made my way to this house... which was owned by Max. The group was getting ready for a night out for some live music. I didnt think anything would ever stem from this night. I mean, why would it? He was different than my usual “type”, I never land the nice guys - you know... the type that you would happily introduce to your parents? Up until this point in my life my selection of men have been extremely questionable... but Max was polite and offered me a drink. Anyways, shortly after meeting Carolyns new group of friends, I offered my personal *unpaid* Uber services to get some of them downtown, and that was the last I would see of most of them... or so I thought. As time went on my desire of naturally meeting people in the real world started to decline, so like most single 20-ish year old adults, I downloaded Tinder... it was painful at first and then I saw a familiar face, it was Max. He was so warm, and inviting when I went to his house, so I figured I would give it a shot. All of a sudden it didnt feel as though I was having forced conversation with a stranger. Our first date was at Williams Cafe, and despite almost scaring him away with my honest depiction of my life (which also included my dating history) we hit it off. I wanted to spend every moment with him, I had this deep feeling that I knew he was my forever person - even if he did not know it yet. We did go our separate ways once for a short period of time, but that brief moment just helped us grow individually in ways that would benefit us later on, together; and we came back stronger than ever. From watching him play recreational dodgeball in the early days, and the daily good-morning texts, to moving in, and now to planning our future... I would choose him every time. If you ask Max: Never in a million years did I ever expect to meet my future wife at one of my classic 17 Steel Street parties. My friends, and current girlfriend at the time and I were getting together for some early pre-drinks before going downtown for some live music. My good friend asked if his girlfriend could bring her sister along... I thought to myself why not? The more the merrier. After a couple of laughs and a few too many drinks we began to slowly make our way downtown. Everyone already made it into a cab and of course I got left behind - or so I thought. This very polite, younger looking girl who I had just met offered to take us downtown - free of charge! So Chloe ended up driving her sister (Carolyn), Alex, my girlfriend and I to our destination. To be honest I didnt think Id see much of her again as she didnt seem to be having a lot of fun (probably due to the fact that she worked a 12 hour retail shift and her social battery ran out of juice). Fast forward a couple of months, I had been single for a little while and was ready to get back into the game, so I decided to give the old Tinder app a try. Sure enough, who do I come across...? Miss Chloe Bedford! I swiped right, right away, and boom it was a match. Ill never forget our first date, truthfully I was frightened to death by her honesty and trust me when I say she left nothing out on the table. But after an hour and a half of some great conversations, I could tell this girl was real and true inside and out. I think it was that day I first heard the expression from her, honesty is the best policy and that she has nothing to hide. We spent the rest of the afternoon together eventually venturing over to the glow-in-the-dark mini putt. It was an afternoon full of laughs and smiles, and it made me feel really good to be around her. It was at that point I thought to myself, damn... she could actually be good potential girlfriend material. Little did I know this potential girlfriend turned out to be my future wife. Words cannot describe how excited I am to start this next chapter of our lives, I am forever thankful and grateful that she came into my life when she did. Cheers to doing anything and everything together with my sparkle queen.

One half of the Maid of Honor duo, Carolyn is the bride’s Matron of Honor, her identical twin, built-in best friend, and adventure buddy. Experiencing and sharing life’s moments with her makes everything twice as nice. She is dependable, honest, and fiercely protective, and an incredible mother to her daughter. No matter the distance between them, Carolyn will always be there for the bride—and the bride for her. The bride is honored to finally hold the title of “Auntie Chlo” to Carolyn’s precious daughter and treasures even the ordinary moments, like joining her on everyday errands, just to spend time together.

The other half of the Maid of Honour duo, Claire is not only the bride’s younger sister but also another built-in best friend. Sweet, supportive, and fiercely ambitious, she spends most of the year in the breathtaking Yukon Territory, where she continues furthering her education and chasing new goals, yet never fails to make time for her sisters during her "back-home" summer adventures. Whether it’s exploring new places, taking on challenges, or simply creating memories together—Claire carries an adventurous spirit that’s impossible to miss. She’s the perfect blend of her two sisters; with a spark all her own, her unmatched fashion sense, combined with her warmth, determination, and one-of-a-kind personality - she is truly unforgettable.

Charlotte and Chloe first crossed paths in high school, quickly bonding over a shared “teacher crush” and an endless supply of laughs. Over the years, they’ve built a treasure trove of memories—inside jokes, heartfelt talks, happy tears, and even a secret language only they understand. Charlotte is giving, honest, and just the right amount of sassy, and she’s the kind of friend you know will be by your side for a lifetime. She’s also been there to see Chloe become “Ciocia Chlo” to her girls, a role the bride cherishes just as much as their friendship.

Sam and Chloe’s friendship began in 2012, when they met in high school during a dual-credit public speaking course—a blessing in disguise, though they’d both admit they secretly hated it at the time. Sam is down-to-earth and non-judgmental, the kind of friend who has stood by the bride through every high and low. Over the years, Chloe has admired Sam’s incredible growth, especially her determination to build a beautiful life for her new little family.

Ten years ago, Julie rolled the dice on a total stranger—and somehow ended up inseparable. ended up closer than ever. With identical interests in late nights, early mornings and the love of dancing in dark, hot, basements listening to techno, it was no surprise to either of them that things turned out the way they did. Since then, they’ve racked up many inside jokes, survived years of long-distance laughs, and proved that living in different cities mean nothing to true friends. She’d do anything for this bride.

She walked into her life seven years ago and instantly stood out as someone truly one of a kind. With the kindest heart and compassion that knows no limits, she has a way of opening others’ eyes to the world and its stories. She keeps the bride “in-the-know” of world politics, issues and her astrology/birth chart. Without Becca, the bride wouldn’t realize her mood was due to the current rising moon or planets being out of whack. Her infectious laugh can light up a room, and her genuine care for people makes everyone feel seen, heard, and valued.

Even with 3.5 hours between them, she has remained a constant the bride treasures. She is courageous and brave, meeting life head-on with determination and an unwavering sense of self. The bride admires the way she has carved her own path, staying true to her heart and her values. Their shared passion for nursing has only deepened their bond, giving them countless conversations, laughs, and moments of support along the way. Recently, Holly even learned to sail aboard the bride’s father’s boat, embracing new experiences and enjoying quality time together. Her honesty is refreshing, her strength inspiring, and her friendship an anchor through the years.

Lucas met the groom back in grade 9, and little did they know that a cafeteria euchre game would spark a friendship that would last a lifetime. From pool parties at the Millar residence to countless weekends at the cottage, Max soon became the “fifth honorary son” of the family. Over the years, the two have been inseparable—whether it was cheering as the number one fan of Cousin Jack’s band, heading off on fly-in fishing trips, or standing side by side at life’s biggest moments, including Luke’s own wedding. When Luke’s son was born, Max naturally stepped into the role of “Uncle Max,” a title that reflects just how deep their bond has grown. Through every milestone, big or small, their friendship has only strengthened, aging like a fine wine.

Chris and Max met at Barrie North Highschool. In the early days, they played for the school's football team and together they provided comedic relief for their classmates during their time in World Geography. Their friendship then grew beyond the classroom, sharing memories on fishing trips, golf rounds, and through all of life’s changes. The two also shared a common interest in being Barrie's "bar stars" from late nights hopping from the Ranch, Kenzington's, Donaleigh's, and even making special appearances at the Mansion - Chris and Max made enough memories that both would remember (or sometimes not remember) for a lifetime - proof of a friendship built to last.

Chris Harper

Alex is the groom’s oldest friend, with a bond that began back in elementary school. Even though Alex was a "giftie" and in the gifted class, and Max was a “normie,” their shared sense of humor and interests kept them inseparable, and they became best friends. In high school, they played football and rugby together, spent hours gaming, and even climbed to diamond level in StarCraft 2. Years later, Max stood proudly by Alex’s side at his wedding—gaining not only the title of brother-in-law, but also “Uncle Max” to Alex's (and Carolyn's) daughter—turning their lifelong friendship into family.

Ryan is another lifelong friend to the groom from Barrie North high school. The two met through playing on the school's rugby team together, and soon found that they had more than just this one sport in common. Although Ryan moved away, it hasn't stopped these two from maintaining their strong friendship. Even after Ryan moved, the two made time for road trips, cottage weekends, and canoe adventures. Max had the honor of standing by Ryan’s side at his wedding, a full-circle moment in a friendship that has only grown stronger over the years.

Aaron and Max first met through Lucas, and it didn’t take long before they became close friends. They bonded over cottage weekends, endless hours of playing COD, and outdoor adventures like hiking, snowshoeing, and even foraging Chaga mushrooms to brew into tea. Along the way, they’ve shared music festivals, countless beach days filled with life chats, and even lived under the same roof when Aaron moved into the Steel Street house. From late-night laughs to big adventures, Aaron and Max’s friendship has always been steady, genuine, and full of good times.

Cale and Max met later on during their educational career at North high school. The two bonded more and more through the many weekend adventures that took place at the Millar's cottage. Cale and Max have shared countless laughs at many stand-up comedy shows, camping trips, and in Cale's amazing mancave of a backyard. Max has always looked to Cale for help in the "health department" and Cale does not shy away from conversations about working out, and Max has always appreciated his pointers. At one point Cale was even on a strict carnivore diet, while living with Max and would be making steaks at 3 AM. He is a friend that has always been there through the ups and downs that the groom has experienced and is another truly amazing friend.

Jordan and Max met in the halls of Barrie North Collegiate, and from sharing classes and countless memories, they quickly formed a friendship that would last a lifetime. From pool parties to late night margarita nights, their friendship has been a constant in each other's lives. Max often made trips to Sudbury to visit Jordan, where he was introduced to the board game Catan and plenty of laughter along the way. Even though they now live in different provinces, the two remain close friends, keeping in touch through outdoor adventures, life updates, and the occasional questionable Snapchat. Their bond has always been easygoing, fun, and full of the kind of friendship that lasts no matter the distance.

There are a lot of restaurants close to the hotel! If you choose to stay over the Friday night, so "getting ready" for the wedding the following day doesn't feel rushed - there are lots of restaurants/fast food options close to the hotel to fill your bellies on Friday night.

DAY BEFORE

Please arrive 30 minutes early to ensure that you arrive on time for the ceremony—which will start promptly at 3:45PM. The venue is quite large, and our guests are more than welcome to lounge on the patio furniture or Muskoka chairs under the shade of the large trees. There will be lots of photo opportunities as well. We have created a beautiful floral arch that our guests can take their group pictures under and the venue has a large LED Marquee LOVE sign located around the bend on the main path, feel free to use this as well! The grounds are simply beautiful, all personally planted and well-kept by our lovely venue hosts, Laurie &amp; Chris. Feel free to explore and admire the beauty of the gardens. During cocktail hour - there will be lawn games for our guests such as Jenga, cornhole, and washer toss! Our cocktail hour may run a little longer than an hour - but this is simply because after our photos, we would love to come and mingle with our guests a little before the reception takes place. We cannot wait to see you, and appreciate your understanding! Weather dependent - there is a firepit located at the far corner of the grounds behind the pond for the end of the evening.
