Pete and Chloe met at IU either Freshman or Sophomore year (can't remember exactly which one)... Pete wanted Chloe from the start. She wanted nothing to do with him (naturally), and was solely focused on acing the accounting class.

They went on one date in 2020 - Chick Fil A and a picnic at Griffey lake - Pete thought he crushed it, but to no avail because no 2nd date was granted. It was either a really bad date, or a global pandemic sent everyone home from school for 3 months. Pete tends to believe the latter, and that Chloe wasn't thinking straight from all the Covid in the air.

But fast forward a year later, and he had her smitten (or so he says). From that moment forward (for Pete) and several more moments (for Chloe), they knew they'd stick together through senior year of college and 3 years of long distance between Denver and New York City.
