The closest airport to fly into is the Fort Wayne International airport. Indianapolis and Detroit are the other airport options- both about equal distance from Fort Wayne.

Check into your hotel & relax, Grab a drink at The Deck or The Bradley, Hang out on the bottom 2 floors of The Fairfield before heading up to the third floor for the cocktail hour, Explore all that Fort Fun (Fort Wayne) has to offer ;)
