Q + A

Why Rocky Point for your wedding?

Rocky Point has always been a place that has been near to Chloe's heart, and she has been going with her family since she was a little girl. Anthony has always wanted to get married on the beach, and when he visited Rocky Point with Chloe's family five years ago he fell in love with the area. Each time they went together they fell more in love with each other and the possibility of them getting married in this special place.

Where will I be staying?

We encourage all of our guests to stay in the gated community of Las Conchas which is where the ceremony will be held. Links to AirBnBs will be provided on this website under the "Accommodations" tab. We are so excited to celebrate with our guests that mean so much to us, and our goal is to have everyone staying as close together as possible.

What's the itinerary?

The wedding party is going down to Rocky Point on Thursday to get settled in. The rehearsal dinner will be held at 5pm on Friday, with drinks and dancing to follow (anyone is welcome to join the wedding party in town.) The ceremony will be on Saturday the 2nd at 4pm with a subsequent cocktail hour and reception.

What should I wear?

Men: button-ups, deck shoes, and slacks- sport coats and ties optional. No shorts or flip flops, please. Women: The ceremony and reception will be outside on a beachfront patio, and the attire anywhere from dress to cocktail casual.

What is the weather going to look like?

During the wedding weekend, the high in Rocky Point will be in the mid-70's, and the lows will be in the low-60's/high-50's. Since we are going to be on the beach, it can get a little windy and chilly at night when the sun goes down. We definitely recommend that our guests bring a warm jacket or wrap for the occasion!

Do I need my passport or any other form of ID?

According to U.S. border patrol- a passport is required to cross an international border. Unofficially, during the 20+ years we have traveled to Rocky Point, a birth certificate or driver's license has been accepted at the Lukeville border. Proof of identity is only required when entering back into the U.S.

Do I need to buy insurance?

US insurance doesn't provide coverage in Mexico. We recommend purchasing liability insurance (at the minimum) through either of these links below. https://mexicaninsurance.com/Default1.aspx https://www.sanborns.com/

What should I not bring across the border?

No produce of any kind (meat, vegetables, fruit). No guns, knives, weapons, ammo or drugs. You can bring alcohol across the border as long as long as you are over 18 and it does not surpass 3 liters.

How will I get there?

We recommend that everyone uses maps on their phone to get to Las Conchas. For anyone traveling from California- we advise to first map to Gila Bend, AZ and from there map to Las Conchas.

What if I don't want to take my car across the border?

There is a shuttle company that will take guests from the Phoenix airport (Sky Harbor) all the way down to Puerto Penasco and back to Phoenix. If you plan to use this service please contact Debbie Bertran asap at (951)217-6344. Departure times will be provided as well once we book the service.

How do I get to the rehearsal dinner and wedding venue?

We will have an optional shuttle service to transport our guests to and from the rehearsal dinner & wedding venue; the pick up location will be at the Bertran's compound in Las Conchas. The address will be provided.
