The Henna night kicks off our wedding festivities and prepare the bride where she has a red-orange Henna "stain" applied to her hands and her feet. Henna—is an ancient form of body art, originating in India and across South Asia and the Middle East. Guests will also have the chance to have Henna applied to their hands. Party starts at 6pm and includes lots of entertainment for family and friends and, of course, an Indian feast! This is an alcohol-free event. TRAVEL & TRANSPORTATION: 🚗 There is free parking near the venue in Middle Head (please check the “TRAVEL” tab for a map). An usher will be there and guests can get to Sergeants Mess via the shuttle service vehicles (fits 11 people per vehicle) and it will transport you to and from the venue. The shuttle service will start at 9.30am and conclude at 10.15am. It will resume once more at the end of the wedding around 3pm. Otherwise it is a 1.3km walk to the venue. If you want to park closer to the venue, there are a few metered parking spots in front of the venue which is paid hourly up until 10pm. Disabled parking is also available in front of the venue. The metered parking charges $4/hr or $20 for the day. The meter takes coins and Mastercard/Visa but have coins as back up as there has been issues with the meters not taking the card payment.
