As much as we love children, we are both teachers after all, we ask that your children stay home with someone you trust so that you can party the night away with ease! Wrangling kids at a wedding for up to 8 hours could be very exhausting for you, and we'd rather see you dance the night away and enjoy yourself! (Some extenuating circumstances may apply)
Can we request songs at the dance?
Short answer: Kind of.
We will be putting out a whiteboard and jar with a series of price points and associated songs that we agreed to not initially have on our playlist, but if you want them to be played then you can make the associated donation into the jar which all goes to our honeymoon fund. Every time one of these songs are played both of us will stop what we are doing and get on the dance floor to dance for the full duration of the song. We will let our DJ know that they are to refuse songs over 5 minutes as we only have so much dancing time.
Is it an open bar?
We have decided to go with a cash bar for the evenings festivities.
Can I smoke/vape?
There are designated outdoor smoking areas at West Haven where you will be permitted to smoke/vape. Please only do as such in those areas otherwise the staff may ask you to leave.
Is there a dress code?
We, the wedding party, will be dressed in more formal attire, and would request Semi-formal dress if possible. The wedding is the first of August, so please plan accordingly as the ceremony will be outside, and we do not want anyone getting heat stroke.
Can I have a plus 1?
For numbers and budget reasons, we have only allowed certain guests to be allowed to bring plus ones, which have been indicated within their RSVP section. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
