Junior year of college, I had given up on finding romance in college (I know, I'm melodramatic.) However, Cassidy, Kaylie, and Maggie decided it would be super awesome to make me tinder account. I was anxious at the time because I didn't really put myself out there like that. I was only seeking a romantic connection and that usually wasn't the case for many college students.

After the first night of having this app downloaded, I had many messages. A few dates in, the notorious "sweat pants guy," and meaningless chats, I was ready to delete the app. However, I saw a message that caught my eye. It was from a bearded man in a red sweater. His bio read that he was very well-educated (and boy was he) and that he was a teacher. His values and morals fit mine, and he had that "nerd" quality that I was looking for.

The first time we decided to meet up was in the Dahlonega square in November. If you guys know anything about Dahlonega, it looks just like a hallmark Christmas movie. They had lights and decorations up. When I got to the square, I was so nervous. I don't think I have ever been so nervous in my entire life. Something just felt right. When I first saw Christian, he was walking around a corner while I waited. He extremely handsome in his black pea coat.

We spent the entire night talking. We sat in Starbucks for hours until they closed and kicked us out. Since it was freezing cold, we sat and talked in his car until about 2 or 3AM. Christian was the biggest gentleman. He was clear about his future goals and aspirations. I deleted Tinder that night.

We had many dates after. One included playing Mario Odyssey where I played "cappy." I still don't forgive you, Christian haha! Him and I just fit together. It was two months later, on January 15th, 2018, that he asked me out. February 2018, Christian bought his first house and adopted Bogurt, our bobtail cat. March 2018, he adopted Han, our corgi. I moved in with Christian officially during the Fall of 2018. I spent most of my time there any way.

We adopted Wednesday, our sweet little black cat, in 2019. In 2020, we adopted Edmund, our gremlin orange tabby. Together, we made a home.

On July 2019, I told Christian that I loved him. His first words were "finally! I was waiting on you first." When I asked him why he didn't say it, he said "I loved you the first time I saw you around that corner on the square."

Christian and I got engaged in May of 2023 in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Gainesville. We recently closed on our first house in Gainesville, as of August 2023. November 2023, we got courthouse married with our closest family members by us.

Christian is my foundation, my equal, my partner, and my everything. I do not think their is anyone else in this world that brings such comfort and peace to my life. I am so happy with our story and how it has continued. These last 6 years, our connection has gotten deeper. He communicates, does stuff without asking, and treats me like an equal.

I love you, Christian, and although we are legally married, I am excited to celebrate with all of our friends and family! May we continue our love story until our last breaths and beyond.
