Dress warmly as the temps drop quickly when the sun fades. Ladies- keep the stilletos at home! Lawn friendly shoes advised for this wedding in the woods!

Wedding in the Woods

We invite you to join us for a celebration of our marriage this October! Our wedding day will take place at the beautiful Adirondack Woodcraft Camp just outside of Old Forge,NY, which we have secured for the entire weekend for this private event. We have come to love spending time in Adirondacks with family, and friends; and we want this to take center stage during our big day. So please set your expectations accordingly!

We are forgoing the church and fancy ballroom for wedding weekend full of fun at our rustic Adirondack venue . There will not be a pastor; our ceremony will take place on site, with our friend Dylan Jung serving as our wedding officiant. Our wedding day will include an outdoor ceremony on site at the "Field of Dreams" at the Woodcraft, weather permitting, so we asks guests to plan attire accordingly. We invite guests to take in all the views at the Woodcraft Camp, the ceremony area is a bit of a walk from the main parking area, so lawn friendly shoes are recommended for exploring the venue! Be sure to throw in a few extra layers of clothing , flannels are always recommended in the ADK.

**There is very limited cell phone service on site, so please plan accordingly. Guests will still be able to take as many pictures and videos as they want, which we hope you do for all of us to see the next day, you just will have to wait the old-fashioned way to share them with the rest of the world : ) The shuttle bus offered to and from Old Forge should take care of anyone's need to call an Uber!

There will be three pick up times going to the wedding from the Water's Edge Inn parking lot.

Shuttle #1: 2:30 PM

Shuttle #2: 3:00 PM

Shuttle #3: 3:30 PM

There will also be shuttle services provided at the end of the evening from the Woodcraft Camp back to the Water's Edge Inn in Old Forge. There will be two separate shuttle times for the return shuttle as well:

If you will be driving to the Woodcraft, there will be parking by the entrance to camp. The ceremony will take place in the back of camp at the "Field of Dreams", weather permitting, so if you are not keen on walking through camp- we'd recommend taking the shuttle. If you have special transportation needs please notify Emily prior to the wedding.

Lodging

There will be 30 hotel rooms blocked off at the Water's Edge Inn on 10/12/19 for guests only looking to spend one night in Old Forge. *We encourage guests to book lodging as far ahead as possible due to the high number of visitors in the area for Columbus weekend. Two night minimum requirements are common for all lodging in the area due to the high demand for lodging on this holiday weekend.

Please check out our "Guest Accommodations" section on the website or visit: http://oldforgeny.com/where.html for a full list of lodging options in the area. There is an abundance of lodging options in Old Forge. Visit: http://www.inletny.com/inlet/stay for lodging in Inlet and Eagle Bay, both towns are just a few miles north of the venue.

Camping is also available at the a few of the local campgrounds for anyone looking to relax in the wilderness for the weekend. If you will be traveling with a large group, we would recommend looking into VRBO and cabin rentals in the area for a cozy place to call home for the weekend. We are happy to give recommendations!

This is a beautiful time of year in the Adirondacks and we hope guests will take the chance to have a weekend getaway on the weekend of our wedding. There will be a morning after brunch, we also have the Woodcraft camp rented out for the Sunday following the wedding, so we hope to spend some extra time with any friends family coming from out of town for a two night stay! We hope to spend some extra time playing kan jam, kayaking, or playing some cornhole with you to continue the celebrations!

What to Do in Old Forge

We have put together a list of "what to do" and hope everyone can find something they enjoy. From camping and cabins nestled in the woods, hiking, a golf outing, and the Fulton Chain Brewery, to sightseeing boat cruises, train rides, and chairlift rides at McCauley Mountain, there is no shortage of things to do in the area throughout the long weekend.

If you are keen to come along for any of the above, we can't wait to see you in October! We can't wait to celebrate with you!
