This world class zoo is located next to Audubon Park. Christiane and Jonathan first went to the zoo together before they were dating. Make sure to go earlier in the morning before it gets too hot!

Frenchmen Street
One of the city’s top spots for live music.
National World War II Museum
Are you a history buff like Jonathan? Look no further. This museum is a one of kind experience!

Magazine Street is lined with local shops and eats. If you’ve got time on your hands and what to experience it all, this is your place to be.
City Park
Whether you like swan boats, golf (mini or regular), walking trails, amusement park rides or just lying out in the park, City Park has something for everyone. Jonathan and Christiane have spent a lot of time here together from hiking and walking to City Putt to Celebration in the Oaks to name a few.
Garden District
Take a tour or stroll around this neighborhood of historic cemeteries and grand mansions. Christiane and Jonathan love looking at Christmas lights here with Jonathan’s family.
Audubon Park
Looking for a place to run, bike, or walk in the heart of New Orleans? Want to play frisbee or watch the baby ducklings in the spring? This is the place for you! Christiane and Jonathan love walking Audubon’s oak tree shaded loop.
Hungry?
Poboy
If you’re hungry for a New Orleans favorite, Christiane and Jonathan’s favorite poboys are the firecracker shrimp from Parasols, the surf n turf from Bears, and either the shrimp or debris roast beef poboy from Short Stop.
Beignets
Try either Cafe Du Monde in Metairie, the French Quarter or in City Park! Make sure to ask for extra sugar!
Snoballs
Try Hansen’s, Plum Street, Sal’s or Casey’s. For something a little extra - ask to get yours stuffed (ice cream in the middle)!
Brunch
Looking for Mother’s Day brunch or a tasty way to start/end your stay? New Orleans has plenty of delicious options. Try Jack Rose, Palace Cafe, Bearcat, Court of Two Sisters, Tableau, Katie’s Restaurant, Commander’s Palace, The Country Club, Russels Marina Grill or Ruby Slipper.
