Our story began when we met at Vandenberg AFB, California in 2013. Our friendship blossomed when we were stationed together at Malmstrom AFB, Montana in 2014. It grew out of a mutual love of avid cycling, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and sports (a house divided between Chiefs/Seahawks and Royals/Mariners). Then years later that friendship grew into something more. New mutual hobbies grew from being outdoors together and off-roading, even rekindling a mutual love of model making.
We decided to make it official in 2020. Getting married on paper in Idaho City, Idaho in February with plans for a ceremony at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri. A way to honor both our roots. We began planning a wedding for August...of 2020. Unfortunately a pandemic threw a wrench in that plan and 2021 wasn't a possibility either for having family travel from around the country. With restrictions lifting in 2022, we began planning for a ceremony in August, only to have Christine deploy to Kuwait in July. Once she returned in February of 2023, we crossed our fingers and began our planning. We are excited to finally be able to celebrate this union with all of you this year!
