Fate first brought us together in the breathtaking beauty of Lake Tahoe sometime around 2008. From the very beginning, we shared an unshakable love for the outdoors—wild, untamed, and full of adventure, just like our spirits. Chris would often visit me at the bar where I worked, and amidst the clinking of glasses and the hum of conversation, our friendship flourished, filled with laughter, excitement, and countless adventures.

Through the years, life took us in different directions, but we always found our way back to each other—staying in touch, visiting when we could, and picking up right where we left off. Then, about two years ago, after some time apart, we reconnected. But this time, something had changed. What had always been an undeniable connection deepened into something even more powerful—love. It was as if the universe had been patiently waiting for the perfect moment, and when it finally arrived, we knew in our hearts that this was meant to be.

On October 6, 2024, Chris asked me to marry him at the summit of Mt. Tallac, surrounded by the stunning landscape that has always been a part of our story. It was a dream come true—a moment so perfect it felt like the mountains themselves had been holding their breath, waiting for us to say “yes” to forever.

Now, as we begin this next chapter, we can’t wait to continue exploring the great outdoors, hand in hand, side by side, forever.
