Claire and Josiah met in 2019, shortly after Claire moved back home to Nashville from her college town of St. Paul, MN, and Josiah had recently moved to Nashville for an internship from Boone, NC.

Josiah asked Claire out several times before she finally said yes, and they had their first date at Elliston's Diner.

On their second date, Josiah took Claire to the Frist Art Museum. A couple times, Josiah stopped to sit down and look at pieces for a long time, and Claire realized she loved that about him. She'd never gotten much out of art museums before, but now they're one of her favorite things to do with him.

Claire and Josiah moved in together in mid-2020 so it would be easier to pod together during Covid-19, and they adopted their first cat, Tinkerbell shortly thereafter. Since then, they've also adopted their second cat, Juniper, and their pup Ziggy. They love having friends over for game nights, exploring the ever-growing list of new restaurants in Nashville, trying new sports together (lately they love playing tennis!), working their way through cookbooks, and slowly but surely turning their little hobbit house into a home.
