Love the ease in seeing the city from the water. Sunny Cove has multiple options for length of trip. Just want a quick paddle, hike, and lunch....want to spend hours in the bay? Take your pick :)

This is just a suggestion, and are a few other companies in town that offer a bit more options and different rates.

Depending on your level of fitness and available time, check out these hikes in the area. Please note that some do require transportation out of town to get to the start of the trail.

*Mt Marathon/Skyline/Jeep Trail/The Bowl (medium to difficult depending on the route, can start directly from town. avoid on 7.4.24 as the race is 7a-3p)

*Two Lakes Trail - 1 mile very well marked and very straightforward to navigate. This trail is great for a nice walk in the woods as it is located very close to town (no need for a car) and is a short, easy loop that is still scenic as it winds through the trees. The trail loops around the two lakes located in the park and makes for a very relaxing outdoor trip

*Lost Lakes - 7 miles in and back to the Lake (easy to medium route through forest and side open fields) must have a car to get to the start of trailhead, gorgeous views of waterfalls, fields, and mountains. Still gorgeous view even 2-4 miles in!

**WE ARE HOPING TO DO A GROUP HIKE ON 3rd or 5th, TBD**

Up for the toughest 5k in the planet?!

Look no further than the Mount Marathon Race! Started in 1915, it is one of the hardest and grueling races in the country. This race is why the town will be SUPER BUSY during our wedding week (yeah yeah I know)!

The men’s (375 registration lottery), women’s (375 registration lottery), and juniors (150 boys/150 girls registration lottery) courses are a grueling 1.5-mile climb up, and back down, Alaska’s majestic and treacherous Mount Marathon. Runners from around the world join Alaskans in pursuit of a common goal: to safely complete this iconic footrace, whether on the podium or in the pack.

Don't feel like doing the race? Pick another day while you are in town, and take your time hiking up to the best views in all of Seward!
