Claire often prayed for God to send the man of her dreams to her doorstep, usually after a boring date or the end of a short lived relationship. She really didn’t have high hopes that a man would literally just show up at her doorstep, but she prayed anyway since dating to find “the one” wasn’t her favorite pastime. One day, soon after Claire bought her house, there was a noise in the attic that turned into a really bad smell. She called and hired Animal Eviction Services to help. A man name Jason came to remove what was found to be a large, dead raccoon from her attic. They started talking about physical therapy when he first came over, because Claire was in her scrubs and Jason was a physical therapy assistant, just not practicing since he had his business. It was the first time he saved the day for her, but little did he know it wouldn’t be the last, nor his biggest save (another story for another time - but basically every time something went wrong on her house, he’s there to fix it. Even if a hurricane ruins it!). To make this story a little shorter - a few months later Jason returned due to another concern for animals in the attic. Claire had his company seal up her house. When he came back a week or so later to pick up payment after Claire got off work (because Claire had to look for her checkbook and didn’t realize he would have taken a debit card!) they talked and talked and talked and Claire finally said she had to go eat (before she got hangry!) and asked Jason if he wanted to come to continue our conversation. Sure enough he joined her and once they got back to her house, he said “I have your number, do you mind if I call you?” And the rest is history.
