Our Wedding

Claire and Richard began dating in May 2015 and have been inseparable ever since. They officially moved in together in January 2017 (although many would argue that Claire had moved in well before then) and bought their first home together in October 2017. They brought home their little Lottie dog in July 2018 to complete their family.

In October 2018 they took a memorable trip to New York City, and during a bike ride round central park, on 30th October, Richard got down on one knee and popped the question.

Both Claire and Richard have been accused of being too laid back for their own good, and after over a year of searching for a wedding venue, finally decided to have a big wedding at Dunblane hydro on 30th of October 2020, 2 years to the day they got engaged.

Well, as they say, make plans and the Universe laughs! Who could have predicted that a global pandemic would strike and everyone's plans for 2020 would be going down the pan! Due to this, the plans for a big wedding celebration were scrapped, and a new plan quickly put in place but unfortunately this couldn’t go ahead.Richard wanted a memorable date for the wedding and when 22/2/22 (Twosday as he likes to call it!) presented itself it was hard to resist!

This website holds all of the information you will need to know should you wish to attend, as well as the function to RSVP and let us know if you can make it or not.

Love to you all

The story so far...

The Ceremony

Faskally woods - 2pm

Our wedding ceremony will be conducted at Faskally woods, just outside Pitlochy.

Faskally woods usually hosts the Enchanted Forest every year and as many of you will know this is a place that has captured our hearts and imaginations. Unfortunately the enchanted forest has been postponed this year, however it does mean we are able to hold our wedding ceremony here and we are truly grateful for this.

The Reception

Bracklin Cottage - 4pm

Due to the covid-19 restrictions we are unable to host a traditional reception. However we have rented a holiday home near to Faskally woods and we invite everyone to come back after the ceremony to enjoy a glass of bubbly and toast to the newlyweds!

The reception will be held at Bracklin Cottage

Our Story

Covid-19

The arrangements that have been made in regards to the wedding ceremony and reception are in line with the current Covid 19 guidelines set up by the Scottish Government.

Obviously, should the guidelines change in any way that effects our plans then we will try to let guests know as soon as we can. Unfortunately, this may mean we could be forced to advise some guests they cannot attend, and regrettably this could happen at any time.

Please be assured that we are keeping up to date with the changes to the guidelines as and when they happen, and we will en-devour to update our guests of any changes as soon as we are aware.

We will make hand gel available at the ceremony site and facilities for hand washing will be available at the reception site. Guests will be required to wear masks for the ceremony so please bring these wit you.

Lastly, we are aware that some of our invited guests may not feel comfortable attending an event of this size at this time. We completely understand if this is the case, so please do not feel pressured to attend if you do not feel up to it. The day is about celebrating love, and the last thing we want to do is make anybody feel anxious or scared for their health.

Wedding attire

Now some people have asked about attire given that no-one currently knows the plans for the wedding. Normal wedding attire will be appropriate but we are laid back so no need to wear something uncomfortable… our day is all about having fun!!

Gifts

If you're thinking of giving us a gift, to help us on our way, a gift of cash towards our honeymoon, would really make our day. Then while we're relaxing on the beach, or by the pool so blue, we'll sit back and know that, it is truly thanks to you!
