We went on our first date on April 1st, 2021 - and thankfully, it wasn't an April Fools prank! Jacob picked a very romantic restaurant (Applebee's) and always jokes that Clara hardly ate any of her food because she wouldn't stop talking. Jacob must have decided it wasn't a deal breaker that Clara was a Cyclone fan, because after a few months of getting to know one another, we made things "official" while golfing at Willow Creek on June 27, 2021.

Fast-forward past many fun memories like meeting each other's families, tailgating at Hawkeye games, concerts & Iowa Cubs games... we bought our first home together in Ankeny during August of 2022. Since then, it's been nothing short of fun (and a lot of craziness) as we continue try new restaurants together, Jacob drags Clara to sporting events, Clara drags Jacob to the Iowa State Fair, we travel all over celebrating and visiting our amazing friends & so much more...

Remember our first home together? Well, it's even more special now because this is where Jacob decided to PROPOSE on March 30, 2024! It's been nothing short of bliss since then, as we plan our big day and all that's to come. We absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with you all & kick off married life surrounded by our loved ones & closest friends!
