Gilbert White's House and Gardens is an outdoor venue. Fingers crossed we will be spending a large proportion of the day outside. It is recommended to bring an extra layer and to avoid stiletto heels. Blankets and umbrellas will be available at the venue.

Gilbert’s Garden - Gilbert Whites House

For general parking, turn onto Gracious Street off Selbourne Road, then before the right-hand bend go straight into the signposted Ewell Field car park. Cars can be left in the Ewell Field car park overnight. The field is locked overnight & all vehicles must be collected by 12 noon the next day.

If you require accessible parking please specify on your RSVP. This car park is nearer to the venue however spaces are limited and number plates must be provided prior to the wedding day. If your number plate is not provided then you may have to pay for parking and Gilbert White's House will not be held responsible for any fines issued.

The venue is located in the village Selborne and has limited transport links. It is recommended that taxis or lift shares are pre-booked or pre-organised as Uber may not be reliable in this area late at night.

If you are staying in Alton or Petersfield please specify on your RSVP and indicate whether you would be interested in minibus or coach hire at the end of the evening. If sufficient numbers are interested, we can make enquiries into local minibus or coach companies on your behalf.
