Our Wedding

The first time we met in 2009, we were both dating other people and had become really good friends. We went to parties together, group lunch dates, and played&nbsp;Rock Band in the dorm lounge (in which he was clearly the superior player). The summer before our junior year of college we had drifted a bit, but shortly after school started we both found ourselves single and our romance slowly blossomed. Cody claims he put the moves on me frequently, but I&nbsp;didn't realize my feelings until I packed up&nbsp;for the summer and got very emotional at not seeing him. A&nbsp;few weeks after that I visited him and demanded he ask me to be his girlfriend. 7 years later, here we are!&nbsp;We are truly two best friends who fell in love&nbsp;with each other in the most organic way possible. We would like to thank Phantom of the Opera and Taco Bell for contributing in&nbsp;bringing us closer together.&nbsp;On October 10, 2020 we decided to have a small backyard ceremony and legally got married. If this pandemic has taught us anything is that we needed love more than ever and after almost a decade together, we didn't want to wait any longer. We will party it up one year later and celebrate our vow renewal after a difficult year.&nbsp;

The room block is available. Please call and mention the Prettyman-Blauvelt wedding for the discount. If the room block is full, I believe there is a discount if you mention your AAA card. Parking is free if you stay at the hotel. No more rooms at the hotel? Don't forget OCNJ is a SHORE TOWN!! With tons of Air b&amp;bs available and other hotels around you are never without options.

Atlantic City is less than a half hour drive from Ocean City for clubs, gambling, and shopping.

Ocean City has beautiful beaches and a newly renovated boardwalk with amazing food and shops. We highly recommend Kohrs Brothers ice cream and Chickie &&nbsp;Pete's!

Asbury Ave is a great shopping and restaurant area. We love Stainton's for it's huge variety of goods.&nbsp;

October is the off-season so we recommend double checking store hours before going anywhere.&nbsp;

A&nbsp;reminder that Ocean City is a dry town so please bring your own liquor if you plan on staying for a few days. Circle Liquor Store&nbsp;is right next to the bridge that is the entrance of the island&nbsp;and has a great variety. Most restaurants are BYOB.

Cape May is about a half an hour from Ocean City. It is rich in history and has a great zoo. There's tons of shopping and great places to eat.
