Where & what time will the ceremony and reception taking place?

Both the ceremony and reception will be at the Funny Farm Rescue & Sanctuary. You can arrive as early as 2:30pm. Ceremony promptly begins at 3:00 pm.

Can I bring a plus one?

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We look forward to celebrating with you on the day!

Are there any other wedding events I can attend?

We are currently planning to celebrate Halloween at Eastern State Penitentiary. Let us know if you're interested and we will share the details as we plan.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

Please note that we are on a farm. Depending on the weather there can be dirt/mud. Additionally, this place serves a purpose with animals that are free to roam the property. So, boots and dress wear are absolutely encouraged. Honestly they make a great fashion choice together as well.

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the barn, where we will be serving passed hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and beverages. There will be yard games and you can feel free to explore the farm. Hopefully we will be able to offer a hay-ride on one of the farms tractors!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors.

Cocktail hour and yard games outside of the barn.

Reception will be indoors within the barn.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Of course! We ask this question in the RSVP confirmation. Please let us know ahead of time so that we can make accommodations with our caterer and chef.

Is there parking available?

The Funny Farm Rescue & Sanctuary has plenty of free parking on property. As you pull up to the property you will be directed straight back to the parking area. There are free roaming animals and we would like to keep them safe. Please drive very very slowly towards the back near the barn.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

We'll be serving some passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. Catered buffet seasonal dinner during reception will be followed by autumnal pie and dessert selections.

Will there be an open bar?

Absolutely! If you're feeling tipsy, we will appreciate any support given to the bartender.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

We are opting for an unplugged ceremony. We have hired a photographer to take photos of the ceremony.

But once the party has started, you can take all the photos you want to remember the night! We do request that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #SPENCEANDLEENHALLOWEEN so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Do you have a gift registry?

Please know that your love and company on our wedding day is the only thing we could ask for! However, if you do wish to celebrate with a gift, we have set up a registry page and have included an option to contribute towards our Honeymoon.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
