Join us for a welcome aperitivo at Terrazze Michelangelo on Wednesday evening. We are excited to host and gather everyone in town for cocktails and bites on the Colleen's. Situated near one of our favorite spots in the city, Piazzale Michelangelo, it's the perfect location to kick off the celebrations and catch up. Conveniently located within walking distance from your accommodations in Florence, we hope you'll RSVP and keep us posted on your travel plans. The wedding day will all take place at Villa di Bivigliano in Tuscany. It is a historic villa in Bivigliano in Vaglia, on a plateau overlooking the hills between Florence and Mugello and is about a 35 minute drive from Florence. We will be providing a shuttle to and from the villa at a central meeting spot in Florence -- Hotel Cavour (apparently they have a great rooftop bar 😉 ). There will be only ONE bus departure time—2 PM from Hotel Cavour. There will be 2 busses of 30 people. The bus will leave promptly at 2PM in order to make it to the villa by 3PM at the latest. The ceremony is scheduled for 3:30 PM, to be followed by an aperitivo hour in the garden commencing at 4:15 PM. We will have dinner, followed by dancing, drinks and of course, Italian sweets! Please let us know if you have any questions at all. Given the potential for cooler temperatures in the evening, we recommend bringing along a light jacket and footwear suitable for grass or gravel. 😃 Buses will be available for transportation back to Hotel Cavour in the evening. Given its central location in Florence, it should be within walking distance from wherever you are staying. Alternatively, the hotel staff can assist you in arranging a taxi if needed when you are back in Florence. **Please note that there will be a single departure time for the buses at 11 PM. We're thrilled to extend an invitation to anyone still in town to join us at the villa where we'll be staying for the week (please note: this is a different villa from the wedding venue). While we understand that most guests may be traveling, we wanted to offer a chance to unwind and reconnect after the festivities. We'll be providing some light lunch bites and beverages for everyone to enjoy. Knowing Colleen Clark's fondness for bocce, we're planning to set up a game in the yard for everyone to enjoy. We hope you can join us for some friendly competition! In the event of unfavorable weather on the day, we'll simply choose a cozy cafe or bar in Florence as an alternate meeting spot. Please be aware that the villa is situated approximately a 10-15 minute drive from the Duomo. While it's a bit far to walk, it's certainly feasible if you're up for it.
