We are excited to welcome you to Richmond, a city that means a lot to us. We are bursting with recommendations of where to eat or explore, but we've limited ourselves to some of our absolute favorites. Even if you don't make it to these spots, its hard to find a bad meal in Richmond. Can't wait to hear all about your adventures!
The best time in Scott's Addition! This area is packed with breweries and restaurants that have moved into an old warehouse district. Fun fact: one of Colleen's graphic design professors at VCU created the Bingo Beer Co. branding.
Bar Solita on Broad Street is the perfect spot for both mimosa pitchers and aesthetic Richmond photos. Our parents like it too... this is where we introduced the Fortes and the Connollys to each other over some epic spicy Bloody Marys.
little Dillon's favorite place to eat growing up! Colorful diner classic serving breakfast all day until midnight. Highly recommend for a late night feast, and its in the cute Carytown restaurant district. Everything is weird but good, from the chocolate Pepsi to the housemade ranch.
This is Dillon's favorite bar. It has speakeasy vibes, cheap beer, and a pretty good thin crust pizza.
Colleen's favorite bar! All the food is great and the vibe is classic Richmond hipster. Bonus: Dillon met me and my friends here before we started dating but when we had a crush on each other.
Richmond is full of funky coffee shops clogged with latte-chugging college students (hello... #1 public art university in the country...) and Blanchards is a real stand out. This is the closest local coffee shop to the Cathedral, but in a real pinch, there is a Starbucks inside the VCU Library across the street.
You're in Richmond, the River City! Go see the river!
The VMFA is, in Colleen's humble opinion, one of the best curated art museums in the country. It's free and open 365, plus its in a beautiful neighborhood.
Perfect for a fall adventure, this famous cemetery is a special Richmond place known for its incredible headstones and river view. There are two and a half Presidents buried here!
