Maddox and Lylah played a special part in Matt's proposal. While vacationing with family in Ocean City, MD in 2020, the kids joined Matt and Colleen on the beach wearing tee-shirts asking "Will you be our Bonus Mom" Matt got down on one knee and proposed while the rest of the family (unbeknownst to Colleen) watched from behind a sand-dune before joining in on the celebration.
