Our Wedding

Connor and Emma met the beginning of their junior year of high school in 2012 at Culver Academies in Culver, Indiana in their chemistry class. In early November, Emma tweeted at Connor asking him to hang out. Their first date was sitting on a park bench by the lake getting to know each other and they began officially dating on 12/11/12. During their time at Culver together, they quickly got to know each other’s families and friends and couldn’t see their lives without one another in it. They spent a year and a half together at Culver before choosing to go to separate colleges.&nbsp; Emma chose to attend High Point University in High Point, North Carolina and Connor chose to attend Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, making the long distance 13 hours away by car. Knowing the distance would be trying, they aimed to establish themselves as individuals but to regularly schedule visits to see each other and get to know each other’s friends. Freshman year was an adjustment but when Emma landed an internship in Tralee, Ireland, they took the opportunity to explore the world (or at least western Europe) together. For the first time, they lived and worked together and realized they wanted to continue doing that every summer going forward. This landed them in Wilmington, Ohio working and living together for the next two summers. Following senior year of college, both Emma and Connor moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin with Connor’s family to figure out what to do for their future. When Emma began working for a startup in Cincinnati, Ohio, Connor joined her. After living in Cincinnati for 2 years, they moved to Denver, Colorado in April of 2021. They both work remotely for companies in Ohio. In July of 2020, Connor took Emma to Colorado to get a much needed change of scenery during quarantine to spend the weekend hiking and exploring together. On July 25, Connor got down on one knee and popped the question *finally*. On December 11, 2021 they will not only be celebrating their 9 year anniversary but also the start of a new chapter together. They are so excited to celebrate with you, knowing that they would not have gotten here without the love and support from each one of you!

FLYING?

If you are flying in for our wedding, we recommend choosing IND (Indianapolis International Airport). The Scottish Rite Cathedral and hotels with room blocks are 20 minutes from the airport. The host hotel (Hilton Indianapolis Hotel &amp; Suites) and secondary hotel (Residence Inn) are located 0.6 miles (walking) or 0.8 miles (driving) from the Scottish Rite Cathedral.

We recommend booking at the Residence Inn below if you plan to be in town for more than one night. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Things to Do

Hannah and Emma have been inseparable since they became friends at the age of 2. Hannah has always been a part of the Bourgraf family and practically a third in Connor and Emma's relationship from the very beginning.

Victoria and Emma have been friends since they were very young, growing up in the same neighborhood, Fosters Pointe. Most of Emma's favorite childhood memories include Victoria.

Jackie and Emma met in college at High Point University when they were members of the same sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma. The wedding will be very ~edgy~ with her in attendance.

Amber and Emma met at Culver Academies where they played soccer together. She is also the Park Superintendent of Culver, so there will be a celebrity at the wedding.

Maeve and Emma were roommates for three years at Culver Academies. Maeve always kept Emma in line and honest, everyone needs a friend like her!

Alex and Emma met at Culver Academies and didn't hit it off at first. After a few months, Alex warmed up to Emma and her weirdness and they've been buddies ever since.

Kendahl and Emma met at Culver Academies through their dorm and playing sports together. They tricked their moms into taking them to see the midnight premier of Twilight and they've been taking trips together ever since.

Kelsi and Emma met at Culver Academies and played sports together. Senior year "they" orchestrated a streaking event at varsity soccer camp that has been a fond memory they frequently reflect on.

Luc and Connor were randomly selected as roommates their first year at Culver Military and lived together through their entire Culver career. When it came time to pick colleges, they had both decided to move out to Newport, RI and attend Salve Regina together. While at Salve, they roomed in the same dorm or the same house every year. If you see him around, remind him to lower his voice.

Luc Copeland

Some could say that Sean was Connor’s first friend. Their mothers were good friends while they were both pregnant, so it was only a matter of time before Sean and Connor became friends. They met at the age of 3 and quickly bonded over their mutual love of all things Batman, hockey, and “TMNT: Turtles in Time” for the SNES. Although they have lived in different states for 8 years, they always make a point to see each other often.

Sean Leahy

Logan is Connor’s brother. Through childhood, they played on the same hockey team every other year. Now they not only bond over hockey  and working out but also the MCU and reading DC. They also greatly enjoy day beers together. If Trey tries to charge you for personal training tips, ask Logan.

Logan Badalich

Garrett is Connor’s youngest brother, Connor has known Garrett his entire life. Whether it’s bonding over the band NSP or video games, they are always smiling and laughing together. Garrett is very smart so be sure to give him some fast math problems or quiz him on music trivia.

Trey and Connor started at Culver together, although they were different years, they had no shortage of late night talks after TAPS. Trey frequently worked at Culver Summer Camp while in college which gave Connor and Trey the opportunity to catch up during the summers when Connor was in town. Feel free to ask Trey for free personal training tips.

Treyton Budreau

Jackson and Connor met through Emma and Jackie (Jackson’s wife) during college. There were plenty of nights when Jackie and Emma would ditch them to be their normal social selves while Connor and Jackson would hang back and drink their beers. All four of them frequently travel together on couples trips and share a love for Miller Lite.

Jake and Connor were roommates for three years at Salve Regina University. Jake had the pleasure of being Connor’s roommate when Connor broke his ankle - apologies for the messy room during that time. Any room Jake walks into, he is sure to be the best dressed, let’s hope that’s not the case for 12/11/21!

Jacob Timcoe

Andy and Connor were college roommates at Salve Regina University for two years. Andy has the ability to make you feel like the most special person and can make you laugh until you cry. Connor always cherished the chimichangas they shared at a Mexican food stand.

Registry

We're Moving!

We have chosen to move to Denver, Colorado at the beginning of April. With that being said, we aren't sure what our registry needs are at the moment. Check back here mid April and we'll have more info for you :)

While we all wish we weren't still dealing with this pandemic, we're trying to be realistic. We are not requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test, but we urge you to be smart about your choices in preparation for the wedding weekend and those attending. We will have a table set up with masks, in the event guests would feel more comfortable wearing them. There will be plenty of hand sanitizer around the venue, as well.
