Margie and Connor met at a church game night in fall of 2021. Over the next few months, Margie and Connor spent a lot of time together, both through church and through hiking. In February of 2022, Connor called Margie and asked her on a date, to which she said... No.
The next several months would include:
-Five church game nights
-Countless Sunday lunches
-One moved chicken coop
-Three more hikes
-One bad tv show about bees
-and End enough of Luna's dog hair to make an entire outfit
Until, on November 12th, 2022, Margie decided to see if Connor was still interested....
Margie told Connor that if he still liked her, he should ask her out again. He then asked her if she would say yes if he did ask her out. She replied saying yes she would go out with him, to which Connor said he would see her at church tomorrow and drove away....
However, the next day, he did indeed ask Margie on a proper date... again. On November 20th, 2022, they went to El Zun Zun in Cahaba Heights on their first date and they've been together ever since. Margie and Connor's love of hospitality and passion for Jesus that originally bonded them only grew as they started dating. After 14 months together, Connor proposed to Margie overlooking the Birmingham skyline behind the TV station where she works and where they had many parking lot dates when Margie worked the evening shift. Of course, Margie said YES!!!
Truly, Margie and Connor know that the Lord has brought them together because they can accomplish more for His kingdom together than they could separately. Margie and Connor love investing into the lives of those around them, whether it's hosting a game night for thirty, or mentorship one on one. They thank God for their incredible village of friends and family who nurture and support them always. Most importantly, they thank their heavenly Father for being the true definition of love and without whom, this love story would not be possible.
